I agree. I don't want to make them go away. I want everyone to be happy. I'm pretty happy with the ape-man as ERB wrote about him, though, personally. Other readers and perhaps writers should do what they want. Speaking of legal stuff, I was in prison this morning. Always a joy to be there. They don't let you take anything into prisons. I was starting to read a non-ERB, but all the Tarzan talk got me to picking up Beasts, since I wanted a paperback to take with me to prison, and then they wouldn't let me take it in with me. Prisons are pretty amazing places. Pretty boring, too, when you're sitting in some room without Tarzan for company. Not surprisingly, I lost my pass, and had to find it again to get out of the prison. I was thinking about just fighting my way out, but one of the corrections officers looked pretty tough, and in all honesty I didn't want to take her on.

I also want to thank our Von Harben, while I'm off-topic. He referred me to Vietnam Veterans on the net; I've been searching, and in the past seven days have talked on the phone to my two best friends in Vietnam, guys who I last talked to when we were together in war, twenty-six years ago.

In any event, I think Tarzan should be required reading in correctional facilities and for veterans, which is clearly the main focus of this post.
