Keshith Brown Dragon to Ph'red |
Keshith's name (pronounced Kay-SHith) is derived from the Japanese word Kesshi or hero and refers to the heroes of the baseball diamond. His entire theme is centered around base ball, from his appearance and voice to the personality derived from Joe Boyd/Joe Hardy from the musical "Damn Yankees". His voice is that of the sports announcer, always finding things to talk about, even if it is nothing at all. He is often lazy, very inclined to do his own thing, as well as clumsy on the ground, due to his overwhelming size, at least for a brown that is. Maybe I'll post his entire inspiration here someday, but for now this is all there is. Right now he is merely a hatchling, growing every day but still only hinting at what will one day be his full size, and he and Ph'red share very much the coach/player relationship with each other, two equal halves of the same team, working together to win that pennant race. Dragonet desc: Bulk is the first impression given by this dragonet, a hint of what will be suggested by awkwardly long limbs and the large, blunted head, ungainly on an as yet undeveloped neck. Stubby head knobs of raw sienna jut above an arrogant brow, giving way to neckridges of scuffed mahogany leather before taking on the shiny smoothness of age over his back. Like a well-used mitt, his hide is tough, durable, yet soft and sleek, mahogany deepening into time-darkened shadows of sepia at tail's tip. Grass stains mar the perfection of muscled haunches, the freshness of mown lawns mingling with the hues of red earthen clay and powdery white chalk. His belly and legs, too, are chalk-dusted, frosted burnt siennas becoming pure in sharp talons of wicked intent, though no meanness evidences itself in his gaze. Wings of bittersweet, stitched with tan lacings to sturdy oaken spars, seem insubstantial in the face of his apparent strength, their proportions alluding to length that will come with time. |
