Hi guys! You know those amazingly crazy notes I put in front of my parts (which I'm sure very few people read, even though they're kinda crucial to the story line)? Well, the psychotic babble now has it's own portion. Yes, I, the amazing author I am, have COMPLETELY revised my little novel. And a part of the revision was to take all these lines and put them into a different file. This is to your advantage (now you don't have to deal with so many confusing lines before you get to the actual story, and it saves the headache for later) as well as mine (I now have a place to put these confusing lines for easy reference). These have also been edited, and are now here for your enjoyment. Or pain. Whatever.

Disclaimer: This is MINE. The evil dudes are MINE. The story line is MINE. The names of places are MINE. The alter egos of the good extras (not main characters) that were created by Takeuchi-hime are MINE. Other stuff is Takeuchi-hime's. I don't mess with her stuff. That would be not only a disgrace to her works, but I'd probably screw everything up anyway.

And if anyone asks where I've been for the past months, let me just say- two months of swim season, four honors classes, five major finals, block class of PE (last YEAR of PE), and summer classes. Not to mention a lot of friends, clubs, and other trivial day to day stuff and sickness. So, if you have a problem, please e-mail me to the address above (aw, what the heck, e-mail me anyways!)!

I feel a little like George Lucas right now- writing a prequel though I already have a story going!

0}--+----- Wherever you want to be, whenever you're there

As all stories do, so must this one start from the beginning.

There was a time when everything was dark, and Chaos ruled. Chaos is neither evil nor good, but is life and death, a constant state of destruction and creation. Soon enough Chaos found it could not rule for long, despite its immense power- the embodiment of creation, God, and the embodiment of destruction, Daemon, were born. Exact opposites, yet similar in manner and strength, they were the ones who managed to drive Chaos out and keep peace. God became "good", of the "Light". Daemon named himself of "Darkness", an "evil". Though they did not hold enough power to match Chaos alone, they could stop and banish Chaos together- the good and evil balancing out- and Balance is Chaos is exact opposite, as well as its only weakness.

Because they were opposites, they constantly clashed. Darkness looked at Light with pride and jealousy, while Light looked at Darkness with self-righteousness and disgust. Consequently, they became enemies, and soon grew against each other.

They divided themselves, creating their homes; God created Heaven and Daemon created Hell. For Heaven, there is the Universe, the Negaverse, the Vitaverse, and the Gloriverse, also known as the Four Verses. Meanwhile, Hell was guarded by the Four Serves- the Multiserve, the Megaserve, the Morgserve, and the Prideserve. And as they grew apart and had already driven out Chaos, they spent their time fighting each other, each trying to gain the upper hand so they could prove they were better than the other. Their feud became almost bitter, and they created peoples in hopes of creating more power and influence.

Soon, they forgot their original reason for creation, and Chaos returned. Many of both sides were destroyed, and both were shocked at their conduct. Immediately forming a truce to destroy their mutual enemy, they drove Chaos out once more, concealing it. They made a pact to each other to uphold the protection of their worlds and peoples from Chaos no matter what, and sealed it by creating what is called "The Balance"- a large scale, created to exist in another realm that only they could go to. The scale would have two sides, the Light and the Darkness, which they could go to and see how balanced they were. If ever the scale tipped, Chaos would return. It was up to each to balance the other's power.

Unfortunately, they soon fell back into their old habits of fighting. Knowing that they might have a repeat of history and weary of the continual fighting, they called a truce and decided to create a special people- ones made of them to fight off Chaos and keep peace. The struggles they faced between each other would be given to the chosen leader. The Chosen One of Light was female, and the Chosen One of Darkness, male.

The people were created to help their leaders, the Chosen Ones, were special. They would serve to be companions for the Chosen Ones, since in only having each other as God and Daemon had, the two might also come to fighting and follow in their creators dangerous footsteps. So God and Daemon created others, protectors, friends, and lovers to battle against each other alongside the Chosen Ones. Twenty-eight were created to help each Chosen One throughout their eternal lives.

The Chosen Ones divided their kingdoms into four quarters, called Realms, and gave four friends rule over them, along with special powers. The four, called "Archangels", then gave separate elements of power to sixteen, with two per element. There were eight girls and eight boys, with a girl and a boy per each element. The girls called themselves "Sailors" and the boys, "Generals".

To three others, The Chosen One gave influence over one mystery power, and referred themselves as "Stars". To another three, power over certain aspects of people- the heart, the mind, and the body. They became the Guardians.

The last two of each side were shown to have special abilities, and because of this, received special powers. One of each side was given powers directly from God or Daemon, to be able to see Fate and Destiny and to guide the Chosen Ones; consequently, they were called "Fates". The other was found to have a special connection to the Chosen Ones, and therefore was given the ability to share powers with them- a rather large portion of power, enough to help and protect the Chosen Ones, should they ever need it. They titled themselves "Soul Mates".

To each side, their respected equal was their Counterpart. And together, they called themselves "Players". They are all eternal, though mortal. This was how they would become even better as time grew on- the threat of loss was enough to make them the best for each other, as well as themselves.

The players were immediately taken to train. It was then that they began to bond with each other, become best friends, and soon fell in love with one another. Every Player except one, a Guardian, of the each group coupled up (and even then, they didn't mind or need anyone to be in love with).

It was also discovered that each person's Counterpart was identical in appearance to his or her respective love. The unmatched Guardians looked like twins. It was an uncanny arrangement.

Soon, it was also the cause of war. What first became playful pranks turned to vicious trickery. The two groups had met, only to end up arguing- they were too different to be able to resolve their conflicts. Trying to stop themselves from creating further discord, they separated to live in their Creator's lands. The Chosen One gave each person enough power to create a home planet, where they could live and rule over the people in a fair and just way, some living together.

And Chaos came again. Realizing their folly, God and Daemon quickly used up their powers with their Players, but the effects happened all to quickly. The amazing amount of power released between Chaos and the two groups erupted, and worlds began to split up. The Realms, as strong as they were, couldn't forever hold onto the power bestowed upon them to fight off Chaos. And so, each Realm split, creating dozens of new universes, alternate realities, each at a different pace, with different outcomes of lives. The people likewise split, forming copies of their selves. Each copy had no clue as to the other existence of the Realms, leaving only the original people to remember the effects of Chaos.

It is the original Player's duty to watch over the alternate realities and copies, making sure the sides remain balanced so Chaos doesn't return like it had and create more copies. They also will minimally interfere so all goes smoothly for when they meet, and fights break out less often.

Each copy reality would receive the Chosen One. Yet sometimes, not all the allies could be born. It was very few realities that had all of them, besides the Original, otherwise known as Reality 1. The Chosen Ones was always born in each reality, as it was them that kept life going because of all their power (they held more power than the others combined), but the others were only truly needed to aid the Chosen One. It is only the originals that would rule the one Heaven and Hell and maintain the balance of everything. When the copies were also made, the excess powers of Chaos "tainted" the energy of the copies, while the originals had enough power to fight it off. The originals hold the only true power of light or darkness, along with their respective powers, while the Chosen Ones are a mixture of light/darkness, life/death, and hope.

Because they were created from such powers, they were eternal, but not immortal. An opposite extreme could very easily kill them, since they were originated from either pure light or pure darkness. And so when they were together, they had to be careful of their powers.

Yet as Chaos was once more forgotten, the original groups again began to quarrel. The Players soon became unpredictable, fighting at every chance- except for the Chosen Ones. They remembered all the lessons they learned, and tried to calm the others. For the most part, it worked. Things quieted and an uneasy peace ruled for awhile.

Until the two unmatched Guardians met, fought, and lost control of their anger. Their powers grew out of control and Darkness killed the Light- allowing Chaos to enter once more. Grieved, the two Chosen Ones realized they should have been more careful and should have been more forceful about keeping the peace as they quickly tried to fight off Chaos while the others bickered over what to do with the Guardian of Darkness. So distracted by trying to solve the argument (the Light wanted retribution while the Darkness refused any such thing), they could not offer their full powers and the Chosen One of Darkness was struck down. With the weakness, both sides became balanced and the Chosen One of Light managed to banish Chaos with what little power she still had. Realizing her Counterpart was dying and one of her Guardians was dead, the Chosen One of Light quickly used the last of her power to officially tie all the Players all together- if one was to die, so would their Counterpart. If an Archangel died, her Counterpart would also. Should a Soul Mate were to die, the other would follow. This way, the Balance would always remain, and Chaos couldn't come back. She also applied the spell to the copies, so that they would grow stronger along with everyone else and to protect the copies from ever having to undergo similar pains.

In dying, they would be reborn in the future with the others, so they could always protect their worlds. Also, their memories would be lost- babies can't think, and therefore can't remember, for they know nothing to remember. It would be up to God and Daemon to make sure they regained their knowledge. The one who would be revived first would then be able to freeze time and introduce the powers and memories to the other. The Balance would be maintained by a window of opportunity a Chosen One could take to be allowed entrance into the other's Universe. Without this window of opportunity, the memories could never be correctly exchanged between the two of them safely, since the unknowing Chosen One would not be able to defend their realms from the sudden leap in Light or Darkness that came to them.

Once the memories were restored, they would be able to unlock their power that would be kept by their creators until they were ready.

They were reborn several times, but the anger of the Players still remained- the Light blamed the Darkness for the death of their Guardian, and the Darkness blamed the Light for allowing their Chosen One to be wounded and for upholding the grudge. This is how the Game became.

The Game was created by the two Chosen Ones; they decided the two groups would regain their memories and unlock their powers, then met to fight it out in a never-ending battle. This way they would be able to protect the Realms as well as satisfy the anger. And after a few lifetimes, the battles became a test of skill- something to look forward to and try to overcome, despite the fact that it ended in death.

God and Daemon also decided to give the Players some Challenges of their own. This way, their team would be able to learn more and be even more prepared for whatever should happen.

The Archangels Challenged was to become one entity with their Counterparts. They would then try to destroy both Light and Darkness. It would be up to the others to stop and save them, pulling them apart.

The Stars and Sailors had never really mixed, so the Stars were to become Sailors for a portion of their lifetime- and since the Stars were all male, they would therefore be forced to become female.

The Guardians were to lose their powers for a period of time, which God and Daemon thought humorous since the loss of a Guardian's life power had brought all this on. The Fate was to be forced to live with her powers in solitude for a millennium, guarding the Balance from any wild and unnatural force, similar to the job the Time Gate required (we all know about that job! Poor Pluto!).

The Generals and Sailors were to be estranged from each other, testing not only themselves as a team, but also their love for each other.

The Soul Mates were to take a path through destruction and peril, forced to fight over and over for whatever they wanted.

But the Chosen Ones were the ones who faced everything. It would be up to them to heal the Archangels, helping them free. It would be up to the Chosen Ones to aid the Stars-turned-Sailors so their period of distress would be more comfortable and endurable, helping them also to become more a part of the team. It would be up to them to help the Guardians cope without their powers and become strong in their areas despite their lack of extra strength. It would be up to them to help the Generals and the Sailors who would go through life without their loved ones. They would help fight with their Soul Mates, fighting with them and for them, making the best of every situation. And as they lived their lives, the Fates would watch on, laughing and crying at the show their lieges put on for them.

To each person, a token was given. The tokens, or crystals, represented the person and were a source of power, as well as storage of the person's life energy.

The Chosen Ones' Pure Crystals were well named. The Pure Crystals held raw and pure energy of Light and Darkness, reflecting the pure energy they were made of. The Soul Mates carried the Protector Crystals. The Archangels each had a crystal, the Golden Crystal, the Bronze Crystal, the Silver Crystal, and the Pearl Crystal, named for each Archangel's color and for their appearance. The Guardian's Crystals were simply called the Guardian Crystals. The Fates held the Destiny Crystals.

The Pure Crystals and the Archangel's crystals used their energy to create crystals for the Sailors and the Generals. This way, each Sailor and General would hold a special link to their elemental superior, which they could draw power from.

The challenges were not dealt out immediately, giving each time to adjust to the idea. But soon the Fate left. The two groups clashed on and on, living to reunite, learn, and best each other. The two leaders met often to either return memories, give powers or advice, or to gloat over wins. Soon the two came to respect each other, and, being the more open persons of the Players began to rebuild the friendship lost time and again.

This is what happened.

These are the rules. It has stayed this way for eras.

All this is about to change with this battle.
