Building a Dream : The Art of Disney
Architecture
A superb book, filled with marvellous photographs of the buildings within the theme parks
,their hotels and corporate headquarters.
The photos alone make this book worth the money, the added insights from the people who
designed them is a bonus |

Designing Disney's Theme Parks : The
Architecture of Reassurance
A number of authors have contributed to this book, which traces the evolution
of the parks detailing original ideas and the influences that shaped the final look of the
Theme Parks.
Not as many photographs of the end product as the book "Building a Dream", but
many more concept sketches - fascinating stuff. |

Since the World Began : Walt Disney World
the First 25 Years
"The first and only concise, authorised history of "The Vacation Kingdom of the
World", as the back cover puts it.
Not the most demanding read - this is basically a 192-page souvenir brochure. But what a
brochure. It packed with wonderful images from Walt Disney World. At time of writing it is
also a great price. |

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World
In my humble opinion, the best guide for making the most of your time at Walt Disney
World.
This book is not sanctioned by the Disney organisation, so there are no photographs
inside. But this means that they don't have to pretend that everything is perfect, so they
write it like it is; what's worth the wait, when is the best time to do it and where to
eat. An essential buy for first time visitors, and those who got caught up in long queues
on previous visits |

Vinyl
Leaves. Walt Disney World and America.
492 pages of detailed text about practically every aspect of Disney
World from how the land was purchased to a detailed look at every ride and
it's relationship with the American psyche.
Being English I have to admit some of the American psyche bits were
too esoteric, but this was more than made up for by the wealth of
information. Not a pretty book as there are no photos, but a must for
serious Disney World fans only. |
