In late 2002 a group of orphans calling themselves the Remade based out of a nightclub in downtown Minneapolis ambushed a hermetic Marauder-hunter named Sanitus Custos in retaliation for his attack against the Marauder Pete. Sanitus survived and rallied local hermetics to attack the nightclub in what should have been a simple, if bloody raid. However Minneapolis' orphan and Hollow One communities had secretly been building their numbers for years by advertising the city as a safe haven for mages with no other ties. When the Hermetics attacked they found not a group of six helpless orphans waiting for them, but a veritable army of non-affiliated mages. Enraged by the Hermetics' arrogance, the orphans brought the fight back to the Hermetic chantry house and destroyed it in what elevated to a riot. The entire city might have been destroyed if Jonathan Thimble, a local bouncer/orphan had not tried to contain them by directing the growing army against only Chantries and Labs. In the end every tradition mage and technocractic agent in the city was dead or driven out and the media did all they could to show it as a terrorist-incited riot by the lower class. 1
