Greetings,

My name is Tom Speciale. I have been storytelling Minds Eye Theater for more than 6 years under the name of Theater of the Damned (ToD). Up until 2001 ToD was headquartered in Central Illinois. I have run seven major chronicles (most over 100 players) set in places like Peoria, Illinois; Astoria, Oregon; Austria, Montreal, Venice and South Africa and I hope that you like what ToD has to offer. I run a game unparalleled by most others.

With your participation, I’m starting a 1798 Napoleonic Egypt vampire chronicle that I know will leave you wanting more.

In this chronicle mortals will outnumber the vampires. That's not to say you won't be one of the chosen. Everyone will be involved in Cainite politics, some will be ghouls; some will be newly embraced children of vampire lords. This will be a game built for acting because there will be even fewer vampires than in typical chronicles. You will not be able to fall back on Dread Gaze or Celebrity or Potence. You will have to role-play everything out for fear on being discovered and breaking the Maquerade.

There will be a limited number of Cainites in this chronicle at the start. A random drawing will determine secretly the players who will start off as Cainite Lords. The players will choose their own Clan. They will in turn pick their retainers from among the remaining players. Those players selected to be retainers of Tzimisce will be Revenants. There will be two different random drawings; one drawing for local Egyptian characters and one for foreign characters. The Egyptian vampires will be predominately Setite, Ventrue and Assamite. So, players who want to be with these Egyptian Cainites should make up Egyptian characters. The foreign Cainites may be any of the other Clans and from any other part of Europe.

The vampires who are indigenous to the city will know of each other and will have a Prince (Status very important). Cainites from outside the city will not be known as such and will not know who the vampires in the city are.

The setting: Time period is Egypt in 1798 just months after napoleon has invaded. The Toreador are expanding East into Settite and Assamite territories. The Ventrue are not happy about this as they have plans of their own for the region Other vampires Lasombra, Brujah, Gangrel, and Nosferatu … are moving to the city and this is going to cause great troubles in the nights to come. A contest for resources, domain, feeding grounds, influence and herd will ensue.

You don’t know them, they don’t know you. Who will these outsiders side-up with? Will they side with the Setites or the Assamites. There is a limited Blood supply in the city. How will this effect the current vampire populations’ mortal interests? Who will enforce Camarilla Law? Will it be enforced?

Deadlines and registration fee for the event...

The deadline that you must be aware of is going to be February 4th. I will also determine a location to hold a Meet the Storyteller lunch somewhere in town. I am currently travelling to Sierra Vista so I have not determined a site yet. February 4th is the character submission and preregistration deadline. The first event will be on the 5th. After the first event, a late fee will be applied to players who miss the deadlines. In order to be part of the random drawings for Vampires you must have a character submitted and your preregistration fee paid. After the initial event most new players will only be able to start as mortals.

First Place Role-play Awards

Theater of the Damned gives prizes for Best Role-play at the end of every event. The prize is $1.00 for each player in attendance. So, the more players the greater the prize.

Welcome to the Blood Oath.
