a thought on anger

anger is bad

well - here's an explanation:
anger consumes you. if you don't believe it - watch the movie "American History X". The gist is this: if you are hurt by someone, by hurting them back, you are causing more pain, and for a while, of course, relieving yourself, but it's still there, the anger - it doesn't leave. Surely there are exceptions to everything, but in general, the problems most people have to deal with, anger and hate, and especially violence is not the way to go.

how I deal with anger:
well, I haven't had anyone to be angry at for a long time now, but it's mainly my parents, because at times they are very harsh and unreasonable with their decisions. They hurt me just because I have forgotten to do something they might have asked - etc. In any case, all I do is accept that it is life, and is in a way - inevitable. Then, I play good music and relax, consider my parents' point of view, and though I still disagree, I just say that it's probably much worse for other people.

I hope you have enough common sence not to think "oh why doesn't this silly kid Boris just fight it" ... well - I'll tell you why. The simplest explination: you can't. These are parents, and they are there, and they are big and bad, and have bought my my computer, and if they want to - no matter how unjust it would be of them to do - they can take my computer away. Along with, of course, many things I enjoy, like going out etc etc.

anger is NOT an answer.

repeat after me:

I'm a lover, not a fighter
