The Nile Admiral
This was the cruise ship we went up the Nile
on: the Nile Admiral, of Presidential Nile Cruises.
Going up or down the Nile in a cruise ship
is a very popular choice of tour. I think it was said that, at
any time, there's something on the order of 400 such ships on
the Nile, ferrying passengers up and down to various tourist
spots.
The one we were on was fairly good, but when
we walked through some other ones -- they'd 'park' three to four
abreast and have one anothers' passengers go through their lobbies
to get to shore -- we started to develop definate cases of boat
envy.
All the same, the staff was very helpful and
the food was very good. The only problem with mealtimes was that
there was no 'entrance' to the buffet line, and folks barged
in all over the place to get their food. Having a meal could
be a real adventure!
