INSTALLATION

NOTE:  WE STRONGLY RECOMMAND that you add a quality liquid carburetor/ fuel injection cleaner to your first tank of fuel after installing the SUPER FuelMAX, because your engine has been building up destructive carbon/varnish deposits due to incomplete combustion.  The SUPER FuelMAX virtually eliminates the destructive carbon/varnish build up in all engines by promoting more efficient combustion.

Important: It is possible that consumption and emissions may temporally increase at the beginning of the carbon/varnish cleaning and removal process, but will stabilize.  Noticeable improvement in the consumption may take up to three tanks of fuel and for optimum results, allow 2,500kms for removal effects of carbon and varnish build up in the engine.  Increased performance and lower operating temperatures may be noted.

1.       Locate the fuel supply line under pressure feeding the engine from the fuel tank.  Vehicles with fuel injection engines normally have two lines running between the fuel tank and the engine, a supply line and a return line.  While the engine is running, feel the lines and the colder one of the two will be the supply line.  On vehicles with electronic fuel injection (EFI) or electronic engine control (EEC), disconnect the negative battery cable for at least 5 minutes period to installation.  Do not re-connect the cable until installation is finished.  This allows the fuel management computer to reset correct mixture.

2.       Simply position the SUPER FuelMAX over the fuel supply line, up to 2.54 cm at an accessible location as close to the carburetor or fuel injection system as possible.

3.       Align the SUPER FuelMAX halves so as the side grooves are alike.

4.       Insert the nylon tie through the grooves that have the tie retainer slot.  This is to help hold the tie in position while applying the SUPER FuelMAX to the fuel line, as a clam shell.

5.       Complete installation by wrapping the tie completely around the SUPER FuelMAX making sure the tie fits in to the side grooves. Trim off excess tie.

Note: Make sure the side grooves for the tie are a-lined before securing.  If desired results are not achieved, rotate 90 degrees and move 10 cm in either direction on the fuel line.  Additional installation information is available for specific engines, click the engine group for your vehicle on left.

Installation tips

On some new fuel injected engines there are electronic fuel sensors located in the fuel lines.  These sensors are not visible and if you install the SUPER FuelMAX over one of theses sensors the effect will be reversed and you may experience reduced mileage.  If possible use a tester to check for any magnetic field at the point of installation.  If you do not have a tester available, and you experience negative or not results from an installation, move the SUPER FuelMAX 4 to 6 inches and check the results.

Heavy Diesel engines require multiple units to obtain satisfactory result.  Install a SUPER FuelMAX on the supply line after the injection pump.  Install a FuelMAX on each fuel injector line, as close to the injector as possible.
