I originally put this list together for use in a short-lived Spelljammer campaign I ran. It's adapted from a Dragon magazine article entitled "Firearms: The first guns weren't much fun", by Ed Greenwood. This is not an attempt to challenge his authorship or TSR's copyright of this material. It is just an attempt to update the material.
