Andy Moeller
Gone but not forgotten
Andy who was almost 11 was killed Oct. 9th, 1999, quite possibly by his adopted step dad, John Lowrance who was a prison guard in Olympia, WA. There was a lot of circumstantial evidence against them: The Lowrance's a short time after adopting take out a large insurance policy on Andy who they have renamed Shawn, despite being broke. The prison guard father took Shawn and a friend of his named Jeff for a fishing trip to Brown's Creek near Shelton, WA. He seperated the boys so they were out of sight of each other. A short time later Jeff sees that Andy is unconsious in the creek. The adopted dad will not go get him but tells the other boy to do it. John Lowrance says that he saw his reflection in the water and got scared, probably he saw a monster. NBC's Dateline did a half hour news program on this case in March of 2004. It is called Suspicion: The River's Edge Click on the linkbelow to see teaser from the show.

It has been nine years. One wonders how long it will be before John Lowrance can go to work and stay there.
