Optimizing the look of this website:
These pages are designed to be viewed using web browsers with variable- and fixed-width font settings at 12, which is the default for most browsers these days. I hope they will look okay under other settings, but there is only so much one can do. If the layout of a page seems odd to you, please try adjusting your browser's font settings and see if that fixes the problem.
Graphics:
All of the graphics on these pages are either JPEGs or HVS JPEGs, which means they should display nicely in most browsers, especially Netscape Navigator. And it now appears that the most recent versions of AOL are displaying JPEGs fairly presentably. Thus, there shouldn't be any problem with the images, and if there is, I'd be grateful if you would let me know.
Incidentally, these pages were designed with 600x800 resolution in mind. I'm not sure how they'll look on other settings.
Pop-up windows:
These are pretty annoying, aren't they? I consider them the one major curse of residing at Geocities. However, they can be dealt with. Just disable Java and Javascript in your browser's preferences and they will quickly cease to trouble you. (You certainly won't need Javascript for my site.)
