Nothing like thinking you're a telekenetic/pyrokenetic, even if it is for a few hours.
I thought that aspect of it was cool. Though, I admit, I wished Daniel *had* actually been doing that. I really wanted him to be going around planets and saying "Oh no! There's a Goa'uld. Well, now it's Goa'uld Jubille" (sans the liquor, of course, unless he wants to get artsy). But I knew it couldn't happen. There's something about giving a character telekenetic abilities that makes things wildly unfair. Just like if you had one of the characters possessed by an alien, allowing her to be able to use the alien technology, and have access to memories and knowledge and have lots of plot threads and story archs having to do with just that.
Er....never mind.
One question: Do you think Michael Shanks' feet got cold?
I liked the Monk. He was cool. He reminded me of Yoda (except he didn't talk in a weird voice. But I would have liked it very much if he did. SG-1 does not have enough aliens that talk in weird voices. Well, there’s the Goa’uld. But that hardly counts. That’s not ‘Frank Oz’ weird. That’s just ‘Oooooooh. Look at my pretty synthesizer’ weird. And after a while, it gets boring).
Mother Nature was very well done. I'm glad she didn't talk, because doing voices for aliens (especially ethereal ones)is a very risky thing indeed.
I loved Keb. Kudos to the set designers on this one. Lovely.
Anyway, this was a good episode. Lots of Danny boy in this one (which is certainly fine by me).
