Somewhere along the way, we incorporated "the Schwa" as a mysterious superhero with a cape who appeared on the scene whenever he decided to poke his nose into one thing or another.
From those humble adolescent beginnings, the Schwa reemerges as an editorial column in ZonalVision, still poking his nose into one thing or another, so without further ado, the Schwa speaks:
If you had $1000 per month to spend on comics that you wanted to collect, would that be enough? I think not!
Does it bother anyone out there that Image {TM} comics are not available by subscription? Does anyone care? All the stores in Okmulgee have quit selling comics, so I have to rely on subscriptions or ordering comics from American Entertainment.
Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that DV8 {TM} is a more intriguing read than Gen 13 {TM}? So much so that I've quit buying Gen l3 (boring).
The Spider-Man {TM} titles have become so interesting that I recently ordered subscriptions in anticipation of what's in store for the next year.
My Christmas gift lists for my 3 nephews in Alabama include the following subscriptions: Wolverine {TM} (Jason), Generation X {TM} (Christopher) & Fantastic Four {TM} (Johnny).
Jim Lee's take on the Fantastic Four was better then hyped, but I expect Scott Lobdell to give the X-titles a run for their money when he takes the reins of the world's greatest super team [especially when he scripts Dr. Doom!]
My favorite X-title is still Generaion X. Is there anybody else out there who would like to see Iceman {TM} & Jubilee {TM} connected romantically or at least fight side-by-side?
Did you notice the second episode of Sleepwalkers? Which issue of the Incredible Hulk {TM} was the technician reading? By the way, you should check out the current issues illustrated by Adam Kubert.
[Blackhawk is {c} & {TM} DC Comics; DV8 & Gen l3 are {c} & {TM} Image Comics; Spider-Man, Wolverine, Generation X, Fantastic Four, Iceman, Jubilee & Incredible Hulk are{c} & {TM} Marvel Comics Group.]
