Tales of Norsh

PROLOGUE
KLAN

Located in the heart of Norsh. A land well secluded from the rest of the world. An area in which you would think not to find any life never mind a sprawling civilization. A city with it's confinements and such. And yet between mountains and rolling terrain the ancients called Sorotoris, but better known in these days as Klan remains untouched by time. A mysterious city in a hidden land called Rurik. To the west of this hidden land lies the end most part of the Ice Mountains dipping into a valley enshrouded in mist. In this valley you can find a great walled city. A remote timeless city of many horrors. A den of devils. A short distance from this city to the north lies the Great Wall of Ice. A huge glacier that seems to threaten this mist enshrouded valley. Our tale begins in this abode of devils.

The dawn is cold as it always is. A group of priests of the death god Shurran carry a new victim inside their catacombs. An elaborate series of tunnels that run underneath the city. After being brought to an alter made of jade stone a girl is tied to it and prepared for a sacrifice to the demon god by the Shurran priests of this abhor of all orders. After being prepared with ritual ceremonies, the frantic girl is left there physically depleted and an emotional hell.

The priests chant and cast enchantments over the sacrifice. The poor girl feels her senses waver. She then senses another presence nearby as the robed priests retreat from the sacrificial chamber. Through half opened dazed eyes she sees a form taking shape at her feet. A yellowish green fog fills the chamber with a putrid stench of sulfur. The presence has taken solid form. It stands at least ten feet of height and extremely broad of shoulders. With huge claw-like hands and knotty limbs it stands at her feet. This is Shurran the demon god from another realm. With an ear deafening roar that, seems to shake the foundations of Klan it moves towards its offering. The death god first ravishes the near death girl and then devours the remainder as she dies kicking and screaming. The demon begins to fade into a mist of yellowish green with its foul stench to its hellish realm. While the Shurran priests enter the chamber to cast more enchantments for another sacrifice victim.

Thus in Klan another victim perishes to the wiles and ever growing force that is the Shurran Order. The more blood is spilled the more the priests grow in power.
