Recently, I spent a saturday afternoon at OSU/ Okmulgee surfing the net. Somehow, I found myself at a Wolverine [TM] website accessing a poll to determine whether or not Logan is still the best at what he does without the benefit of his adamantium-laced skelaton & claws.
Only 24 votes had been cast, 23 asserted that Wolvie is still the best at what he does regardless. My first impulse was to agree; however, Wolverine with only bone claws is missing the essence of what made his character who be is. From his early days in The X-men [TM] until Magneto [TM] ripped it from him in X-men # 25, Wolverine was a force to be reckoned with.
I had been purchasing Wolverine for a while & finally suscribed before issue #100 was released. I, like countless others, was anticipating the return of Wolverines adamantium; however, I like many others, was disapponied at the outcome.
I don't especially like what has happened to Wolverine; however, it is an interesting tale and that makes all the difference in enjoying the creative efforts.
Of course, we as human beings don't always like the course of events that transpire in our own lives or the lives of those we love (or admire for that matter).
Anyway, it appears that we are in for quite a ride in the coming months. I expect Elektra to become a major player in Logan's life.
The potential for romance and the "spiritual training she can bring into Logan's life make for a great blend.
Her lending a hand from the shadows to assist Logan was well done, especially since Logan's the only X-man aware of her presence (other than Jean).
Thanks for the inclusion of Iceman. Bobby Drake is a welcome addition in any title. Perhaps we can see him in action again with Wolverine (Hint! Hint!).
Although I was not too fond of the Ozymandias crossover, I am intrigued by the discovery of Charles Xavier's image sketched in stone and what it means to the X-universe at large.
Finally, I appreciate the creative effort of the entire team on this issue. Even though it was not quite my cup of tea, I could tell this issue was a labor of love from the heart, and for that I am most grateful.

Beggs, OK
Not everyone has loved the current direction of Wolverine, but they are intrigued and willing to give it a chance, which is the highest of honors to a writer like our esteemed Mr. Hama! And just you wait to see what he's cooking up for next year!
Well, it's been a year and a half, and I have mixed feelings about the direction Wolverine has taken. It was an interesting journey along the feral storyline with Elektra [TM] and Onslaught] but I let my subscription run out. I did manage to secure the following issues until I resubscibe in the hopes of the adamantium being restored by issue #125.
It seemed like the creative process had been floundering from issues 110-114, with a welcome breather with the Minus 1 Flashback issue.
Then came issues 115- 118 with a strong Operation: Zero Tolerance storyline/ cemented with the exceptional characterization & interaction of the X-men, as well as the welcome inclusion of Jubilee [TM] who came to Logan's rescue in issue 118.
In my opinion, it's past time for restoring Wolverine's adamantium-laced skeleton & claws. Gene [see interview] Longcrier's wife Kim is an avid Wolverine fan who wants his adamantium restored for his own safety. She points out that he's vulnerable to attack & his offensive ferocity is diminished without it.
As of this writing, Wolvie has begun a 4-part story arc (written by Warren Ellis) where be faces an assassin who is targeting an adamantium- laced Wolverine. Obviously, the bone-clawed Logan will somehow outwit him, but I am tired of a Wolverine who is missing the vexy core of his appeal: adamantium!
