Yesterday, I had a dream
that you were still talking to me
just like the old days
before you become too
busy to talk to your old friends
and we were laughing, we were joking
just like you do with all your other friends
who don't take up so much of your time
Well, excuse me
Am I invisible or something?
I walk by and maybe you say "Hi"
but usually you just look the other way
and I'm so confused
I don't know what to do
I want to talk to you but I don't think you care
So I stand in the shadows
and talk to anyone who cares to speak
and pretend to be busy
Pretend not to care
and pray that my dream comes true
that you take a moment out of your busy life
and talk to me
Just like you did in the old days
