"Jareth, King of the Goblins." She laughs, " Who would have thought, my father. Over seven feet tall if I am correct, and not very pleasant. We hated each other, and we were both horrified to find out he was my father."
Again she looks distracted, "Moir had lied to me. She told me that my father was dead, but she only did it to protect us!" Defends her mother very quickly. "After a while, me and Jareth found our similarities, one being that we're both very stubborn. To this day we love to torment each other and throw jokes at each other, but it's all out of fun now.
"With him, I found a mother, a grandmother, and a grandfather. I have a family now. My brother even came back from the dead." Indicates that she doesn't want to talk about that either, insisting that it's not a big deal.
There is a long pause in her story, as she fusses about the kitchen, bringing out a small plate of things to eat. After a few minutes she sits back down in her chair. Taking another sip of her tea she sits back and looks over the cup,
Her words come out of nowhere, and you sit there, just stunned. Stunned that this girl who barely looks as though she could harm a fly could actually kill someone, "He tried to rape me, so I took my dagger out, and I killed him."
You look her over again, somehow managing to ask who she's talking about. She laughs and leans foreward, setting her cup down and reaching to pull out a dagger. Holding it by the very edge of the handle she dangles it above the table, giving you a good look at it.
A double blade, and two delicately carved snakes coil around the handle. Expertly she flips it back into her hand properly and sets it carefully down on the table,
She smiles innocently, then continues, leaving the dagger on the table, "Rory was an idiot. He was big, a lot bigger than me, not a big surprise, most everyone is. But as I said he was an idiot."
Blankly she looks at the dagger, "He came back. Three months after my brother died, he came back." She shakes her head, " I never have found out why, or how. But somehow he was brought back to life."
Her smile brightens and her green twinkle, "Me and Cloudy were married three months after that. Two months after our marriage I gave birth to a babe, Rory's babe."
You notice that she doesn't seem mad, in fact, the only emotion she seems to show is happiness. Poldara continues on,"My father's wife, though even though they are no longer together, I still call her my mother, her name is Aelfwynn. She told me that the babe was three months early. She also said it was because of my age, and what my body is like. I was only fifteen when I had my son, and Aelfwynn says that I'm not meant to have children. But I've proved her wrong." She smiles innocently.
"I named my son Dimitri Alexander. And I've told him about his real father, and his," She pauses, trying to remember the word, " And his, biological father." She smiles triumphantly at finding the right word, common not being her first language.
"His real father is, and always will be my husband. He loves him, and takes care of him, just as if he were his own. Rory is his biological father, he knows that, he gets his dark red hair and his strong tall build from him. But that is all. He has my green eyes, and everything else of me. He's learning his values, and everything he needs to know to help him grow up, from my husband." She smiles proudly now.
"But he was taken from me, when Dimitri was a month old he was stolen from my sister's house along with all of her infant children. They were all taken to another world, to another world where the thyme moves differently than it does here. By the thyme Aly had gotten there and back, eight years had passed over there." Her smile never fades.
"I had a daughter a while ago, a little girl whom I named Alana Marie. Cloudy is so proud of her. She is his little girl, his very own flesh and blood.
"Would you like to see her?"
