Elly continued to race over toward Fei. Her eyes fiery with rage, her face red
with anger and her adreniline pumping through her body, in hopes of getting to
Fei's rescue in time, before he would succumb to Armanbad. Dark clouds began to
fill the sky over the city. Bright flashes of lighting filled the sky. Loud
crackles of thunder shook the earth. Large rain splattered on the pavement
streets and began to wash the spilled blood of the innocent victims of the
second massacre that had occured, away. Elly finally came up to the scene. Her
eyes began to water as Fei screamed out in pain. Id was barely strong enough to
defend against Armanbad's powerful punches he through every time he charged at
him. He knew there was nothing he could do now. He was too weak to stand up
now, much less fight Armanbad. Elly saw what had happened. She looked at Fei
and began to cry. Blood was trickling down his face from his mouth, nose and
his right ear. The tears in his eyes from the deadly blows that were done to
his chest only made Elly cry. He could barely breathe as Armanbad continued to
crush his chest inward in hopes of driving a broken rib through his lung or
heart. "Hahahahahahahahahaha!" he laughed evily, "Tell me Fei, what is it your
trying to accomplish? Is it to save yourself, or these pathetic excuses for
people." Fei struggled to catch his breath as Armanbad releaved some of the
pressure on his chest. "All humans are equal," he answered, "I came here to
defend my friends, the people of this great city and the people of this planet
from the likes of Kriltine. That's my answer. That's my true mission. That's
my goal." "Wrong answer! Hahahahahaha!" Armanbad pushed harder on Fei's chest.
The horrible screamed rang through Elly's ears like the loud noise of an
aircraft taking off. She couldn't take it anymore. Without hesistation, she
lunged forward at full speed. "LEAVE FEI ALONE!!!!" she screamed. Armanbad
turned around and saw the fierce looking woman head straight for him. Fei, too,
saw his dear wife, trying her best to save him. "Elly, go back! Run away
from...." Fei coughed up more and more blood. He was too weak to even finish a
sentence now. Id also saw Elly. She is crazy if she thinks she can hurt that
cocky bastard, he thought to himself. He managed to gather enough strength to
stand up, his right arm bleeding, his face beat up, his anger raging.
Armanbad's scanner began to bleep. "Holy shit! 12,000! Strong lady, and
pretty too! Too bad she'll have to die! Hahahahhahahha!" Armanbad took his
foot off of Fei and began charging up energy. Elly looked down at her helpless
man as he stared back at her. The expression of pain in his face made her more
and more angry by the second. She suddenly lunged forward, screaming the words,
"LEAVE FEI ALONE!" Armanbad was totally unprepared for this and could only
watch as the former Solaris spy lunged with her rod and smashed it into
Armanbad's bloody face. The blow made Armanbad stumble off of Fei as he held
his nose, which was bleeding badly from both nostrols. He lifted his head with
the look of rage in his face. "Ahhhh!!! You dirty whore!! I'll kill you for
that!!!! AHAHAHHHAHAH!!!!' Armanbad wasted no time recovering from the blow to
his face. He stood in his running position and lunged very quickly at Elly.
"Elly, run!!" Fei desparatly shouted. But, Elly just stood there, full of
fright, not knowing what to do or if she would be killed be this monster.
Armanbad continued to lunch forward and within a second, slammed his huge fist
right into Elly's face, making her fly back a good 15 feet.
"ELLLLLLLLLLLLLYY!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!" Fei shouted as he watched his wife slam
into the concrete road.
Kriltine stood by his huge, black, powerful Omnigear, Starize, in the middle of
the Aveh Desert. He looked out toward the fertile, green areas of northern Aveh
and also toward the city of Nisan. All that surrounded him was the desert
mountains to his south, where Sigurd was trapped, and the city to his north,
where Armanbad and the rest of his Omnigear army were battling Fei and the rest
of the crew. He crossed his arms, sighed and walked back toward Starize. He
entered the gear from a camoflauged door on the far, right side of the gear.
But, what seemed like a gear was, in reality, a fair size battleship. Because
it ran on a person's emotions and thoughts, just like an Omnigear does, it was
considered to be part of the Omnigear class. The size of the ship, it's fire
power and it's heavy sheilding on the exterior was what made it a Super
Omnigear, the first of it's kind. However, there was only a small cockpit and a
small, weapons room where guns, knives and other weapons were stored. Kriltine
walked through the weapons room and into the cockpit of his gear. He put both
palms of his hands on the arms of the chair, and closed his eyes. With the
ability to channel his thoughts into the computer, he made the gear start. He
opened his eyes as Starize began to lift itself off the desert sand. Kriltine
glared out toward Nisan. "Something isn't right," he said to himself, "Armanbad
should have called back by now to report Nisan's doom! If that lug made me
flash that message across this wortheless excuse for a continent for no reason,
he'll pay dearly! I might as well see what the problem is." Kriltine took off
in Starize and zoomed toward Nisan.
Dark clouds rolled over the moutains of Ignas as thunder rumbled and lighting
flashed through the air. Sigurd went back as far as he could in the small cave
he had climbed into, and huddled. Within seconds, rain came rushing down like a
shower of nails falling from the heavens. A cold, brisk wind filled the cave
and began driving rain inside. But, Sigurd didn't care. All he could think
about was the noise of the gunshots that rang through his ears, and the horrific
sites of blood shed and dismembered bodies that filled the entire mountain pass.
Four million, he thought to himself, how can an army kill four million people in
only twenty minutes? How can someone be so cruel, so evil, as to torture
innocent people for their beliefs? Sigurd looked outside and in the distance,
saw four, faint, blue lights. Without hesistation, he took his binoculars out
of his pocket and looked out toward the north. The mist and rain still made it
hard to see excatly what it was, but Sigurd knew anyway. "It must be a ship
taking off," he concluded, "but where's it heading?" He looked through the
binoculars again and he suddenly realized where it was going. "NIsan! It's
heading for Nisan!" he shouted, "but all communication has been cut off to the
city due to the fighting! If that's who I think it is, Fei is in big trouble,
if he isn't already!" As Sigurd crawled back into the cave, a huge lighting
bolt struck the wall right below it, and the floor of the cave collapsed, taking
Sigurd down with it.
Elly slowly began to move in the street, trying her hardest to stand up. Blood
was all over her left arm and the right side of her face. She finally managed
to stand up as she angrly looked at Armanbad. An evil smile came over
Armanbad's face as he saw Elly regainig her balance. "Well, it looks like the
pretty lady is back!" he taunted, "Ta da! Hahahahahahahahahhahahahaha!!" Elly
held her arm to control the bleeding from a deep wound in the upper portion of
it. Tears of pain filled her eyes, but she knew she couldn't give up. She was
willing to die for her husband, and also for her friends. But, on the other
side, she also knew she barely had enough strenght to stand up, much less fight
Armanbad. She slowly picked her rod and held it tightly. "Come on!" she
shouted, "Let's go!! I'm ready!" "Well, if you insist... AHHHH!HH!H!!"
Armandbad charged fiercly at Elly. Elly closed her eyes as tightly as possible,
thoughts of death going through her mind. She began remembering the past, how
first met Fei in the Blackmoon Forest, how her mom was killed at the hands of
Hammer and her father at the hands of Grahf and the Executioner, how she became
the next Miang when the old one was killed. Armanbad got closer and closer with
every second. "Alright, say goodnight!" he shouted. Just as he was about to
finish off Elly, a huge green energy blast blew Armanbad clear across the street
as he slammed into the ground with enough force to create a small crator. Elly
slowly opened her eyes and saw something she thought she would never see: It was
Id with his right hand held out, smoke coming from the palm, and sweat dripping
fiercly onto the hard gorund. "Eat...that...you bas...tard..." he gasped as he
collapsed to the ground. Elly looked back toward the crater, waiting for
Armanbad to jump out and attack, but there was no movement at all. All Elly
could hear was the noises of the rest of the crew battling the army of
Omnigears.
The injuries inflicted on Elly were pretty serious. Her left arm had a
compound fracture in it, with the upper area of the bone puncturing through her
skin. Blood continued to spill out of the wound, and began dripping on the
road. Her left eye was swollen shut from the dealy punch Armanbad had done to
her. Her nose was bleeding badly, and was broken in three different places.
She had several deep gashes on her right side from when she slid on the rough
pavement. Id wasn't in much better shape. His face was scraped and bruised
from all the beating he took from Armanbad, and from hitting the ground at full
force. His left shoulder was dislocated, while his arm was broken in three
different places and his left leg was covered in blood. Elly approached Fei and
took out an Aquasol DX. She took the brown cap off the rare remedy and took a
small sip of it. Warm, green energy began to surround her and her wounds began
to quickly heal up. In only a few seconds, Elly stood up all the way and
smiled. "Much better," she exclaimed, "my arm and face feels like their old
selves!" She examined her arm and saw the fracture had been completly healed
and her arm restored to it's normal condition. She looked down at Fei and held
out the Auqasol DX to him. "Here Fei, take a sip of this. You'll feel much
better," she said. Fei turned his head slowly and smiled at her. "Elly," he
said softly, "Thanks...for helping.... us....oooohhhh....". He moaned as the
horrific pain from his broken ribs shot up through his body. Fei opened his
mouth and Elly poured the liquid in. The healng energy did it's job and within
seconds, Fei jumped into the air and landed perfectly on the ground. "Ah! I
feel good again!" he exclaimed. Elly and Fei embraced and kissed, with Elly
crying tears of joy. "I'm so glad you're ok," she said. The reunion of the
couple was short lived as Fei saw Id, just staring at them with his cold-hearted
eys. He released Elly and realized what he had to do. "Elly, give me the rest
of the Aquasol," Fei ordered, "there's something I must take care of." Elly
looked at Fei and realized what he was planning to do. "No Fei! We can't trust
him!" she decalred. Fei looked at his red-headed wife and replied, "Elly, if it
wasn't for Id, I would be dead. I owe him this much." Fei took the rest of the
Aquasol DX from Elly and tossed it to Id. "Catch, Id!" he shouted. Id stuck
out his right hand and caught the Aquasol. He looked at it for a couple of
seconds and then drank the rest of the liquid. The healing power began to work
on him and he was restored to perfect health. "Damn, that stuff really works,"
Id replied. He looked over at Fei and Elly, who were standing side by side,
looking at him. "Thanks for your help, Id," Fei said, "We couldn't have done it
without you." Id just looked at them and smiled. His eyes of hatred stared at
the couple, as he spat on the ground. "Don't get too comfortable," he
responded, "I didn't save Elly for you. It was merely revenge on that moron for
what he did to me! Just consider yourself lucky, Elly, because next time, it
won't be that easy. We'll be up against even greater odds then now!!" Fei and
Elly just looked at Id with confused faces, wondering if what Id implied was
true, that he was only fighting for his own survival, and not that of Fei or his
crew. "If you're fighting for your own survival, then you're also fighting for
mine," Fei replied, "If you die, Id, I go with you and vise versa." Id's smile
turned to a expression of annoyence. "You're letting my actions get to your
head, Fei," he said, "My actions doesn't mean I care about you guys." "You
know, Id, I though you changed, but I can obivously see I'm not right. You're
still as cold-hearted as ever!" "Good one, Fei," Id replied back in a sarcastic
voice, " and I'll now suppose you'll tell me why plants grow." The reunion of
the three was short lived as they heard a blood-curlling scream coming from the
crater.
The three looked over just as a badly beaten up Armanbad jumped out, and more
pissed off then ever. Small bits of concrete and wood debris flew high in the
air at quick speeds, and shattered on the ground just as fast. "YOU RUNTS WILL
DIE!" he shouted. He made a smooth landing on the ground and clincthed his
bloody fists together. "F**K!!" Id shouted, "I thought for sure he was dead!"
"It can't be..." Elly gasped, "He....he couldn't have survived that!" Fei was
completly shocked as well. He began charging up enormous amounts of energy for
a final attack. The earth began to shake violently, with trees waving and the
Aveh flags flapping fiercly through the strong summer wind. "THIS WILL TEACH
YOU TO MESS WITH ARMANBAD!!" he shouted. Right as he was about to fire the
powerful energy blast, a huge, purple beam sliced right through Armanbad.
Everyone froze as a look of pain appeared in his face. After a few moments, a
small, thin red line began to appear straight down the middle on Armanbad.
Blood began oozing out of the thin, clean cut. Then, Armanbad went dead silent
as he fell into two pieces. Fei, Elly and Id could only look in horror as his
inner organs spilled out all over the road and blood splattered everywhere. The
two halves of Armanbad smashed into the ground, with access blood and some loose
bones oozing out all over the road. "What the hell happened?" Fei asked. "It
was the power of death," a mysterious voice shouted, "the power in which I will
use to kill you all!!!" Fei, Elly and Id turned around and looked up. They
were all filled with terror as Kriltine hovered above the battlefield, looking
down on them and smiling evily at the crew. Kriltine help out his right palm,
and fired another energy blast down to the position where the remains of
Armanbad were. The blast vaporized the blood and organs in an instant.
"Foolish Armanbad," he spoke, "How ignorent of him to disobey my direct orders."
Kriltine continued smiling, "but I taught him his lesson, the lesson those
mindless people of Bledavik learned! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Fei looked up at him,
burning with anger, and ready to attack at any moment. "What's your reason,
Kriltine?" he shouted. "Reason? Reason for what?", Kriltine responded, "my
reason for my actions or my reason of the hatred I have for all of you worthless
people? Pick one." "I wanna know youe cause for fighting!" Fei shouted back,
"what's your real cause? ANSWER!" "You are in no position to demand anything
from me," Kriltine snickered, "you're too weak to have even defeated Armanbad.
Why, if that little lady of yours didn't come to your rescue, you and your
friend there would have been nothing more then bloody corpses by now." Kriltine
continued to snicker as he took out a small, black remote, and pushed a button.
"All units, this is your master, Kriltine. All units back off until further
notice. The city is ours! We have won a glorious battle! Hahahahaha!!" Fei
burned with anger. He couldn't let Nisan fall without a fight. "Elly," he said
stirnly, "give me your communicator." Elly looked surprised. "What for?" she
asked. "I'm going to call up Citan and the others," he answered, "I have a
plan."
The gears did just as Kriltine had ordered. "Huh? Why are they backing off?"
Bart demanded. "Are they retreating?" Billy asked. Citan watched as the gears
backed off, but he still had a disturbed look on his face. "No," ge replied,
"They aren't retreating. By the looks of it, Kriltine ordered them to back off
because he's nearby." "NEARBY!?!" Rico shouted, "Where is he?" "Hang on, I'll
see if I can locate him," Citan said. He tapped into his radar, only to
discover something shocking. Citan went back to the speakers and shouted, "I'm
detecting a HUGE power source coming from where Fei and Id are!" "Huge? Just
how huge is this power?" Bart questioned. Citan quickly glanced at his radar
screen again and replied, "Sweet Mother! The radar is detecting a energy level
of 35,000 iminating from the object or person over there!" "40,000!?!?!, NO
WAY! There's no one on this planet with that much energy!" Rico shouted. Citan
slumoed back in his leather chair inside Fenrir with a look of defeat on his
face. "Well, obviously, Kriltine does, and that's not all of the bad news
either," he declared, "According to the vibes being picked up by my radar,
Kriltine still is hiding almost 3/4 of his power!" Everyone gasped in shock.
They all new Kriltine was strong, but no one had imagined he would be that
strong. Citan continued, "If my estimates are correct, Kirltine can have energy
levels up to 200,000, maybe higher. If that's the case, no one has a chance
against him, not even Fei." Without warning, Bart suddenly slammed his fist
down on the arm of his chair and shouted, "Hey, Fei can beat him! I know he
can! You have to have faith!" Bart was determined that his best friend could
take down Kriltine, despite what the scanners were reading. "Bart, it's not
that simple," Citan explained, "Fei's Chi levels are nowhere near Kriltine's
energy levels. Kriltine's minimum energy level is 20,000 higher than Fei's
maximum Chi level. There's no way Fei can win." "What about Id?" Billy asked,
"Id should be stronger then Fei." "At this point, Id is weaker then Fei is, by
a fair size margin also," Citan answered, "All we can do now is try and think
up a new plan." "I agree with Citan, if what he says is true, then we can't win
by ourselves, even with our gears," Maria responded. "You think we're gonna
give up like that? BULL S**T!! I'll never give up without a fight!" Bart
shouted as he got his Omnigear ready to fight. He held his whip behind him,
ready and determined to help Fei at a moments notice. You can win, Fei, you
promised you would, Bart thought. "Young one, please listen to me! Fei cannot
win, even with Id's help!" "Then if we don't figure something fast, we're done
for!" Chu-Chu declared as she struggled to stand up. With this said, Fei's
voice suddenly came onto the speakers of the gears. "Everyone, listen to me and
listen to me carefully," he began saying, "I have a plan but it's awfully
risky." Citan and the rest of the crew looked worried. Risky wasn't excatly a
word they wanted to hear at that moment in time. Citan opened up the frequency
Fei was talking on. "Yes, Fei, what is it?"
The fierce, cold wind of the moutains of Ignas cleared out the dust, and
revealing the moutain path now as a graveyard for boulders. Under all of those
boulders, Sigurd was there, barely alive for that matter. He had enough
strength to push the rocks out of the way, and he finally broke through the
pile, and once again, breathing the cold air. Sigurd managed to get himself
completly out of the debris and he slumped on top of them, breathing heavily and
full of pain. Both of his legs were broken in two places each, one with a
shattered kneecap also. Luckily for him, he had no signs of any major head
damage, and both of his arms were still moveable. However, there was no sign of
any help within a thousand miles. He might as well be left there for dead. One
way or another, it looked like the end for him. He lost his emergency first-aid
kit in the fall, and it was impossible to find anything that would keep his legs
from moving. Every millimeter they moved, every twitch they made, Sigurd could
only cry out in pain.
"Here's the deal," Fei began, "You, Bart, Elly, Id and the rest of you flee
from this city and get the Yggdrasil. I'll stay back and see if I can hold off
Kriltine long enough for you guys to go and come back." The crew was shocked.
They never expected to hear Fei give them an order of that sacrafice, that he
would challenge Kriltine all by himself, and risk his own life in a matter like
this. "Fei! Are you out of your mind!?!" Citan declared, "We can't just leave
you here to fight Kriltine by yourself!" "I'll be alright, Citan," he answered,
"Just trust me and get going while you all have the chance!" "No way! We're
not deserting you! Not now, not ever!" Rico shouted. "I know how you guys must
feel about this plan," Fei replied, "but it's the only way you guys are going to
get out of here alive. Please, just go and get the Yggdrasil! I'll be alright,
trust me!" Bart couldn't beileve what he was hearing. He knew Fei made a big
risk saving Elly from the self-destructing Deus, and he did come back alive with
Elly. He slammed his fist again on the pad and said, "You promise me you'll
return alive, you hear me?" "I promise I'll be alright, Bart," Fei declared,
"Take care of Elly while I'm gone." "Don't worry about it, I will, that's my
promise to you," Bart responded. "Okay then, it's settled. All of you , get
out of here, NOW!" Fei hung up the phone and handed it back to Elly. He held
her soft hands in his, and softly spoke to her as she began crying. "Elly, I
want you to listen to me. I want you to make me a promise yourself." Elly
began crying uncontrolably now, and she said in a sobbing voice, "Fei, I want to
stay with you! I don't want to be away from you! I could never imagine life
without you! Please, don't do this!" Fei looked at her wet face, and tears
began streaming down his eyes. "I know, Elly, I, too, can't imagine life
without you. However, this is where I belong right now. If I don't challenge
Kriltine, we're all as good as dead anyway, so I might as well give it my best."
Elly sobbed even harder, and held on to him even tighter. Id just looked at the
two, and wonderded himself why Fei was taking a dumb risk like this. Elly
finally released her grip of Fei, and stared into his eyes. "Elly, I want you
to keep a careful eye on Id while I'm here. Give him a chance. Deep down in
his heart, he's really not an evil person." Elly continued to stare, and
finally agreed to Fei's proposal. "Okay, I promise I'll try and give Id a
chance while you're away." As she begna departing back to Vierge, she took one
last look at Fei, and then headed off. Fei turned around and saw Id standing
there with his arms crossed. "Id, go with them," he said. "I'm staying right
where I am," Id replied. "Id, I don't have time for to argue right now, so
please go with Citan and the others!" Id got a stirn look on his face. "You
don't get it do you? My survival depends on your survival! If you die, I die
too!" Fei just gave him a stern look, like he didn't beileve what Id was
saying. It was like all Id wanted to do was fight. He didn't care about
anything else, just to fight and kill. Id maybe not as evil as he was fifteen
years ago, but he still posessed a cold personality, and Fei knew, that that
part of Id would never change. "Alright, you can stay and help," Fei finally
said. "Well, that's more like it," Id replied. Fei looked back in time to see
Elly climb up to the cockpit of Vierge. Elly turned around and sat down in the
leather seat, which the controls at her hands in front of her. She looked out
toward Fei and Id, who were standing there, both looking at her from afar. She
closed the door of her gear, and began inputting the start-up sequence. Elly
flipped on the communications devise. "Are we all set?" she asked. "Yes, we're
as ready as ever," Citan responded, "but why isn't Id coming along?" "Who
cares, it's better if that terd didn't!" Bart shouted. "Hey! Show some respect
for him! After all, he did save Fei's and mine lives!" Elly snapped. The
powerful Omnigears powered up their engines, and were prepared to take off at
anytime. "All systems go!" Billy declared. With him saying this, the massive
Omnigears ascended into the dark, cloudy sky. Elly took on last look down at
her husband, who was standing there, calm and ready. Of course, the rest of
Kriltine's Omnigear army saw the crew's gears take off, and they were ready to
give chase. "Kriltine, they're about to engage their main engines. Should we
go after them?" Kriltine answered in a very cocky voice, "Let them go, I'll
deal with them after I finish off these two. HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!" Fei and Id both
gave Kriltine a nsaty look after he had said this, for both of them had
confidence that they would be the victors of the upcoming fight.
Margie swiftly made her way toward the old Fatima Mausoleum, which was about a
mile north of the Cathedral of Nisan. She quickly sprinted down the
red-carpeted stairs, and entered the Mausoleum. She came to a dead stop when
she entered it, and leaned against a nearby wall to catch her breath. "I think
I'll be safe here," she quietly said to herself, "I don't think Kriltine's thugs
know about this place." She finally got up and headed for a key pad on a large,
iron door. "This brings back memories," she said to herself as she tapped in
the combination to unlock the door. She finished tapping in the code and waited
for the door to open up, but to her surprise, it didn't budge. A small error
message in red appeared on the control pad. "Hmmmm, must be jammed or
something. I'll try again." She typed in the code again, and the same message
appeared, but this time, it was followed by another message. Margie read it,
only to find out that something, or someone, had changed the code for the door.
Panic struck her like a flash of lightning that had struck her. "Who could have
changed the password for this door?" she yelled out as she pounded her fist on
the door. She had no other choice but to turn around and head back. As she
began walking up, a shadowy figure suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs.
Margie screamed at the site, and fear now overtook her. She saw a nasty grin
come over the figure's face, as he drew a shiny silver sword that looked like it
was just recently polished. "I've been waiting for you, Miss Margie, mother of
Nisan," the figure said as he slowly made his way down the stairs.
Fei and Id just stood there and waited. They waited to see what move Kriltine
was going to make next, if any at all. Any moment now, he would strike, and
quite possibily finishing off both of them before they can have the chance to
retaleate. Sweat dripped down both of the warriors' faces, and the anxiity of
the events to come filled their minds. "What do you think we should do now?" Id
asked. "It seems like he's waiting for us to attack him," Fei answered. "Then
let's do that and get this over with!" Id replied as he powered up his energy.
"No! Don't you get it, that's excatly what he wants us to do! Besides, we're
supposed to be buying Bart and the others time to get the Yggdrasil and then
come back," Fei responded. Kriltine grinned at them with his standard evil
smile of his. "Whatever you two are planning, won't work against me," he
taunted, "You two don't stand a chance against me!" "Oh yeah, we'll see about
that!" Fei shouted back as he charged up energy. Kriltine just kept on smiling
at the two, knowing very well that their attacks would be useless against him.
Fei continued charging his Ether abilities up, and was finally ready to attack.
He leaped high in the air, cupped his hands behind his head and shouted, "TRIPLE
GUIDED SHOT!" He let the huge blast of Chi energy fly down at breathtaking
speeds toward Kriltine, hoping this would work. From the ground, Id wacthed as
Fei's infamous Guided Shot Chi ability came zooming down toward the ground.
Without hesitation, Id fired off his new Plasma Energy Cannon attack directly at
Kriltine. Kriltine just stood in one spot, still grinning, as the two blasts of
energy closed in on him. The two blasts collided as they hit Kriltine, and
exploded with great force, enough to wipe out an entire block of buildings. The
rest of the crew could see that blast even in the air. "Damn!! What an
explosion!" Bart exclaimed, "was that Fei who shot that?" "I beileve it was a
combination of Fei's Guided Shot and a blast from Id," Citan concluded, "but we
must not worry about Fei. If I know him well enough, he has the situation under
control." Elly turned around in time to see the last bit of the explosion and
the huge dust cloud that formed and rose in the dark sky. "Please, come back
alive, my dear," she quielty said as the crew zoomed off toward the Aveh Desert.
The dust began clearing, and Fei and Id waited anxiously to see the result of
their attacks. The dust cleared out even more but they stil couldn't see a
thing. "I think we got him!" Id concluded, "he wasn't so tough after all!" Fei
laughed and cheered in celebration, but it was short lived as a shadow zoomed
from the dust cloud and nailed Id in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him,
and pushing him backwards into the ground. Fei was horrified at what had just
happened. "Id!" he shouted, "No, this....this can't be possible! Id!" There
was no answer from the fallen warrior. He layed lifeless in the newly formed
crater in the middle of Nisan. Out of the stillness, came the evil laugh of
Kriltine. "Well, that takes care of that cocky little brut," he said laughing.
He turned around and looked up in the sky toward Fei "Now, you too will die by
my wrath! Whahahahahaaa!!!" Fei couldn't beileve it at first. How could he
have escaped our combined blasts without a blemish, he thought to himself, it's
just not possible. Fei's thoughts were interupted by a sudden blow to the back.
Kriltine had snuck upon Fei from behind. His speed was so incredible that the
human eye couldn't detect it. Fei plummled to the ground and crashed into it al
full force, breaking his ribs again, on contact. Blood was again, spewing from
his mouth and nose, and one of his eyes was swollen shut. Fei's back was badly
bruised from the blow, and was hardly able to move. This is the end, he thought
to himself, this is the end.
The crew conitnued to fly over the desert, heading for the last recorded
position of the Yggdrasil. It would still be a good while before they reached
the base of the mountains where the citizens of the now ruined Bledavik, escaped
and were eventually, slaughtered like lambs across the mountain pass. "How far
until we reach the Yggdrasil?" Elly asked. "We should reach the Yggdrasil in a
few minutes," Bart answered. He continued to talk into the speaker. "Elly," he
stated, "try and stay calm, and have faith in Fei. Fei has faced bad situations
in his life before, and got out of them alright." Elly just stared out the
window of Vierge, thinking about all the good times Fei and her used to have.
All of the happy times flashed through her mind. She remembered the day of
their 1st anniversary when they went to small resort town in Western Nisan. She
remembered how the two sat along the shoreline, looking into the full moon that
shined across the beach. The water gently splashed on their feet, and all of
the sea animals were asleep under the sand. It was just them, and the stars
that were out that night. Fei took took her and and held it close to him.
"There hasn't been a day in my life where it was as perfect as this," he said.
"It is a beautiful night, isn't it?" Elly said back. "It is," Fei replied, "the
world has never been this peaceful before. It's so quiet, so dorment, it's
almost creepy." Elly just smiled at him. "Fei, have you ever wondered if
another danger will threaten this planet one day, and interupt all of this peace
and quiet?", she asked. Fei gave her a look of surprise and confusion. "Well,
it certainly is possible," he explained, "but I hope that the world stays
peaceful for a long time to come." Elly smiled again as the two embraced each
other and kissed in the moonlight. Elly's thoughts were interuppted by the
sound of the alarm going off in Vierge. "Elly? Elly! Are you there?", Citan
asked. Elly jolted out of her dream world, and answered Citan's message.
"Yeah, I'm here, what's wrong?" "We've picked up the Yggdrasil on long range
sensors," Citan explained, and we're on an intercept course for it now. We've
been trying to contact you for the last few minutes. Are you feeling alright?"
Elly looked sad, with tears rolling down her face. "Yeah, I'm alright," she
responded. "Thank God," Citan said, "Ok, I'm sending over the coordinates of
the interception point. Put the coordinates in, and meet back with us on the
Yggdrasil." "Ok, copy that," Elly replied as she closed the channel. She then
thought about that day again. "Such a perfect night that was," she said to
herself. Her thoughts were interuppted again by the noise of her computer
reciveing the new coordinates. She typed them in, and followed the rest of the
crew toward where the Yggdrasil was heading.....but the crew hasn't realised
yet, that the Yggdrasil is heading back to where they we're escaping from: The
city of Nisan...
