Part One

"Now that Cordy's left, I feel like I can finally die in peace. Now I truly feel like a single guy. Now, who's going to be the lucky lady", Xander quipped. He jokingly looked around the room, scouting out all the females in the Bronze. Buffy looked up at him and gave him a feeble smile. Then she continued staring down at her drink.

"Buff, are you okay? I just made an obnoxious comment and I don't even get a glare?" Xander stared at her waiting for an answer, but one never came.

"Buffy?"

"Oh, sorry, Xand. What did you say?"

"Nothing, I was just wondering why my zombie of a friend is so quiet tonight."

"Zombie? Where?" Buffy obviously wasn't paying attention to Xander. She only caught key words that came out of his mouth.

"No zombie. Just a very quiet friend."

"Xander, I'm sorry. It's just -" Buffy stopped when she saw Willow walking into the entrance of the bronze. She walked over to them and said, "Buffy, we have to talk." They just stared at Xander until he got the hint.

"I believe this is my cue to leave." After he walked away, Willow continued talking excitedly.

"I found him."

"Who?" Buffy asked, even though she knew very well whom Willow was talking about.

"Angel. I know where he is."

"Oh."

"Are you going to go see him?"

"No."

"Why? I mean, I know you have to get over him, but aren't you curious to see how he is?" Willow asked in disbelief.

"If he wanted to see me, he would have let me know where he lives. He doesn't want to see me ever-"

"Buffy don't say that. He loves you. That's why he left," Willow said comfortingly.

"He hasn't come to visit me. He just wants to move on, that's all," Buffy said bitterly. Buffy rarely smiled anymore, and even when she did, it was forced and fake. She just looked straight ahead as if she were afraid to let out her emotions.

Willow looked at her sadly, and she knew what she had to do. She went home and turned on her computer. After hours of searching on the net, she found his phone number. She smiled at herself and muttered, "Oh, I'm bad." Then she reached for the phone.

"Ack!" Willow muttered as she viewed the clock next to her phone. It read 3:20 a.m.

"But what is it for Angel? The evening?" Reluctantly Willow picked up the phone and dialed his number. The phone rang a few times and Willow was about to hang up, but then she suddenly heard a hoarse voice on the other line.

"Hello?"

"Hi Angel. It's me, Willow."
