Author's notes: This isn't *as* funny as the other parts, it's more serious, and I apologize that Angel is a bit out of character. Other than that, see part 1.

Part Three

Hank Summers briefly gave Angel the look fathers have that can cow almost any boy dating their daughters, before looking again at Buffy. It only worked halfway on him, because he was no longer a boy, and had lived long enough to survive most looks. Just usually not Buffy's for some reason.

"Dad, please don't look at me like that," Buffy said, wincing, "We both have already felt enough guilt at all that it resulted in."

"Those months were horrible. When Jenny Calender found the spell and saved it to disk, I killed her and destroyed her computer, but missed the disk. Still, it took a while for Buffy to stumble upon it," Angel agreed, "During my souless period, I tortured Buffy mentally with drawings of her sleeping and various body parts left on her dresser." By now, the couple was tearing a bit, but pushed on.

"He fought me while Drusilla and some others atacked the library, they captured Giles, put Willow in the hospital, hurt Xander's arm, killed Kendra, and ran Cordy off. He tortured Giles for the secret of how to use Acathla to suck all non-demon life into hell, and it wasn't until after this I went for the final battle. I couldn't do it before because I foolishly felt there was hope," Buffy added, getting a little bleary-eyed. They told him about what happened, about the fight last, and other instances before. By the time they finished, they were pretty much crying in each other's arms at so many bad memories brought about at once.

Hank felt much less inclined to be angry, and more so to be sympathetic. Besides, there was definitely something special about the relationship if they still felt so strongly after all of that. He waited a few moments before asking his next question, both for them and him, he was a little teary- eyed himself at such a story involving his daughter!

"How'd you come back?"

"We don't know, exactly," Angel infomed him.

"Huh?" So Buffy explained how she just found him one night, and how there was a mysterious mark on the floor of his mansion. Then how he regained his sentient awareness. They all decided that this was enough talk for one night, and Buffy and Angel decided to take a walk. Uh-huh. They got to a nearby graveyard and proceeded to make out, not pausing to slay any vamps, cause there were none. L. A. was dead to the undead, it seemed. That was just as well, it would make her job a lot harder if it wasn't.

The next day they went home to Sunnydale (for it was considered home to Angel as well as Buffy now). Their welcome was a nice one, and Willow explained the newly discovered details of the spell. Interesting details...

"What do you mean he needs to have half the soul of another, and because of the shared soul he would be mortal?!" Buffy exclaimed, upon receiving the news.

"Souls regenerate in time!", Willow said defensively, "Besides, you're soul mates already! You'll be weak for a time, and then the both of you will be happy, and you won't physically out age him."

"True...but would my soul make him still be the same? I mean, you know what I mean," Buffy asked, not quite coming up with the right words.

"The soul won't change personality, and neither of you will be super mean either, half a soul works as well as a full one when not influenced by a demon. Plus, like I said, it will regenerate."

"Okay, but I'm not sure he wants to be mortal," Buffy said thoughtfully.

"Hasn't Angel always said he wanted to see you and the rest of the world in the sun?", Willow asked with a teasing

grin."Yeah...why?", Buffy counter- asked suspiciously.

"Well, by mortal I meant vampire- strengthed human." Buffy was in stunned silence. Then, "How do we transfer souls?"

"By touch. Just grab him and concentrate, and in the ambiance of the spell it'll happen. I'll have to sprinkle you both with a solution before he loses it, and you can do it," Willow said proudly. Buffy suprised her with a hug.

"You clever wicca, you!" Then Willow frowned.

"This brings us to the next problem, we need more witch power," she said apolagetically.

"What of Micheal?", Buffy asked.

"We need a bit more, if only Amy wasn't still a rat," the Willster said regretfully.

"Don't worry, we'll think of something," Buffy

comforted."I hope so, I really do. I mean, poor Amy missed our amazing graduation, she missed all the fun!" Buffy looked at her for a moment, and despite their predicament started giggling.
