Part Four
A week later, Amy was human (of course this is supposed to be a happy story) and happy to be so. Of course, she had some trouble explaining where she had been all that time. But, this fic isn't about her, so think what you will. She agreed to help with the spell, as a thank you to Willow for keeping her safe during her rat- hood, and as an apology for leaving her and Buffy about to be burned at the stake. She felt bad about that.
While Amy, Willow, and Michael were going over the spell and getting the ingrediants, Buffy and Angel were running out of time for figuring out how to handle their awkward dilemma. It wouldn't do to wing it here, Angelus could do some real
damage."This is a conversation we will remember for a long time," Buffy said.
"Yes," Angel agreed, "Now let's see... we could always keep binds handy."
"Yeah, just in case. But it's not likely we'll need them. I only need a moment's touch after you lose it," a pinkish Buffy said.
A slightly colored Angel agreed, "Yeah, now we need a date. This definitely isn't customary."
"I didn't think so." And so they set a date, and went home. Neither of Buffy's parents knew of the condition of the spell that made the cursed soul have to gone before. Heck, Giles didn't even know. Only Buffy, Angel, and the spell casters.
So, one night the next week, the spell casters chanted and cackled and mixed a potion. They then called Buffy and Angel into the room and sprinkled the potion on them while they held hands and recited something in Latin.
"There, it's done," Amy said with a self- satisfied smile, "you have 24 hours to make the transfer. Oh, and have fun!" She then gathered her spell book and a few left over ingrediants, and left.
"Yeah," Willow and Mike said uncomfortably, gathered *their* stuff, and fairly ran out.
Then Amy popped back in for a moment, "Oh yeah, if either of you cheat on each other...then the spell is kaput." And she left again. The couple just stood in silence for a few minutes before leaving as well.
"I feel I've done my good deed for the week," Amy said to Willow after Michael had left.
"I agree with you. I feel really good, and we've given my best friend and her boyfriend the gift of being- and aging- together. Plus, that's some nice magic practic!", Willow
said."Yeah, that's a powerful spell alright. Our skills have probably heightened some," Amy returned, "So, you're forming into quite the witch."
"Really?"
"Oh, sure! Me and you should practice together more often, you could really learn something, and it's always good to have a second.
"I'd like that!" Amy had to smile at the hacker/witchling/excelent researcher's enthusiastic grin.
That night, the soul spell was fulfiled. I really don't care to go into much detail, lest I start an awkward lasting blush once it's posted on the internet. I'm just that way. Not pretty. Anyway, the impossible couple was made possible, and Buffy's father was let into her secret. Of course, it took awhile for him to understand everything and catch up. But that was expected, I mean, how would you react?
And so ends the tale by a person who's a sucker for funny, scary things with happy endings. Though this wasn't very scary, in the *conventional* sense...
