Part Three
Buffy and Angel got to the library in about 20 minutes. Buffy really didn't care what she looked like. She was sore and still a little out of it. "Hey, guys? What's up?" Angel had his arm around Buffy, helping her walk. "Nothing. How are you?" Willow ask with concern in her voice. "I'm doing better. Angel really knows how to take care of someone. Only he could make me feel this good." Buffy all of a sudden fell. "Buffy! Are you ok." Angel was holding her head and waist. "I'm dizzy." Angel took her into the office. "Willow, get me a bowl of cold water and a rag."
Willow came back with the water. She bought it to Angel. Giles was on the phone. "Yes, that would be a good idea. No more than seven. Then it's settled. Fine. Thursday at six. We'll be at Angel's. I take it you know where it is. Good bye." He said the next ot last sentence with alot of anger. It was understandable.
Everyone looked at him with a question in their eye. "Oh, right. That was the Counsel. They want ot meet with us. Mostly Faith Buffy and myself. But I refused to meet them without reinforcements. They can't bring more than eight people. With Willow's powers, if it gets out of hand, we can handle it. No need to worry. We are meeting at Angel's place at six on Thursday. That gives us three days to plan what we will discus, and, if need be, our defence options.
They worked all night to plan. They were called out of school and slept in that day. Willow worked on a spell that would knock the rest of the Counsel out, but would knock her out to. She would only use it if they were in alot of trouble. Angel brought Buffy back to his place to recouperate.
Three days later
Angel, Buffy, and Faith had been training all day. Giles, Willow, and Oz showed up at five. They walked in to find Buffy and Faith fighting Angel with staffs and swords. They had him almost completly beaten. Buffy finally pinned Angel to the ground. They threw down there weapons and started a make-out session.
"Hello. I take it the, um, session went well." Buffy was embarressed as she slid off him. "Oh, hi Giles. We just finished." Giles didn't really care. She was a good Slayer and didn't need to train all the time. But Faith needed to and she was taking her time to train.
"Ok. The Counsel is going to be here in an hour. We need to set up a large table. Also, for precaution, I want you to hide weapons in your clothing. Willow, have a binding spell ready. Buffy and Angel will have swords. Faith and myself will have staffs. Willow, your magic." Angel, Buffy, and Oz went to get a very large table out of Angel's basement. They came out carrying it. "Angel, over here." Giles said. "It is close to a door. If need be we can escape through there. Ok. Willow, Oz, get the chairs. We need sixteen. Buffy, I need to speak with you." He and Buffy walked outside. "There is a great danger in this meeting. They *are* going to try to kill Angel. I am sure of it. I don't want him at the head of the table. I want him between you and I. I have a steel vest that I want him to wear. That's the first way they will try. I don't mean to scare you, but the Counsel isn't sonething to joke about." They walked back into the main hall. "Angel, Giles had something for you." Giles walked in behind her with a vest. "What is that?" Giles smile a little. "It's a vest to protect to from stakes that the Counsel may... throw at you. Excuse the pun. I want you to wear it." Buffy took it from his hands and walked over to Angel. He got down on his knees and raised his arms over his head. Buffy slid it over them. "Not to tight. I like it. Buffy, what do you think." With a giggle in her voice," You'll always be my man of steel." She gave him a gentle kiss. "Let's take our places. They'll be here soon." Giles semi-commanded.
15 minutes later
The Counsel walked in armed with weapons...........
