The verse continues the same way, but there are fills every 4th measure. (First the chorus ends as before, but instead of going to the Em7, you play an open Asus2.) The solo can be tabbed several ways... GW has it as tapped harmonics, Eddie plays it way up high on the video, and I found another easy way to play it, so what I'll do is put the tab of what it Eddie most probably plays. It's what GW says, but instead of tap harmonics, it will just be normal notes being played. A G A D A G A D |-------------------|-12----14/15\14/|-17---------15----------|------22~~| |-17-15p14----15----|----14----------|----17---------15----17-|----------| |----------14----16-|----------------|-------18---------16----|-18-------| |-------------------|----------------|----------19------------|---19-----| |-------------------|----------------|------------------------|----------| |-------------------|----------------|------------------------|----------| Then comes the first bridge, something similar to above is played quietly over a simple progression, during the "Point I'm trying to make" part. The following is the progression. (Each chord is held for 2 beats) A G A D A G A B Then comes the real breakdown part. |-----------------0--0-0-|------------------------------------------------| |---xx-8-8--8---x--------|---xx-8\----------------------------------------| |---xx-7-7--7---x-6--6-6-|---xx-7\-----T14--------------------------------| |---xx----------x--------|---xx----------------T15------T16------T17------| |------7-7--7-----7--7-7-|------7\----------------------------------------| |-0----------------------|-0--------8/9---T15p9---T16p10---T17p11--T18p12-| In that last measure, the tapped notes on the 3rd & 4th strings are tapped with your right hand middle finger, and the tapped notes on the low E string are tapped with the index finger. |------------------------|------------------------------------------------| |---xx-8-8--8---5---4/12-|T14p0h11-T13p0h10-T12p0h10/11p0h9/10p0h7-T10p5h7| |---xx-7-7--7---6--------|------------------------------------------------| |---xx-------x-----------|------------------------------------------------| |------------x-7-7-\2----|------------------------------------------------| |-0----------------------|------------------------------------------------| That tapping run is actually pretty easy, you just hold your fingers 4 frets apart, and decend as written. Then comes the monster riff. |---------------------------------|--------------------------------| |---------------------------------|--------------------------------| |---------------------------------|----------------------------2-2-| |--------0h3/4p0--4/5p0-----------|-----0h4\3p0-5\4p0----------2-2-| |-0-0h3/4---------------3/4-----0-|-3/4--------------4\3p0-----0-0-| |---------------------------3/4---|------------------------3p0-----| This figure repeats 4 times, then play D5 Then pound 13 beats of D7#9 - (X5456X) Then comes the 2nd Breakdown. It is the same figure as the PRE-CHORUS, without all of the other instruments. (If you listen closely, you can even hear the amp hum at this part of the song). That figure repeats throughout the solo (which I MAY add later). And then as the chorus is ending, you play the ascending part that leads into the chorus. The chorus is then played 2x, and quiets into the outro. The chords alternate: A G A D Just like in the first guitar solo. There are a few harmonics played in the second measure of this part, which are just 7th fret on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strings. That section of the song repeats with ad libs, and builds, until Gary sings "You gotta give....give a little bit more!!" Then the lead guitar comes in with something that can be played 2 ways, it can be played in pinch harmonics like this: |--------------------------| |--------------------------| |--------7^-7-7p6h7----7---| |--------------------------| |--------------------------| |--------------------------| And by moving your hand around the middle pickup, you should be able to find the correct harmonics. They are all there, including the really high one that happens right after this. OR, you can play the actual notes |-------------|-22-22-21-22-
