As you can probably tell, Sean Connery is one of my favorite actors. His commanding presence and charisma on the silver screen is rarely match by any other actors. His filmography is just too numerous to list. Looking at that list, you can see a tons of custom potential like Hunt for Red October, the Untouchables, Highlanders, etc, etc, etc.
Above are head sculpts from two of my favorite Connery movies, Indiana Jones and the Lost Crusade and the Hunt for Red October. I also have a sculp from the Rock (not shown) and will soon start work on a Highlander version. What I'll do with these heads is still up in the air. With my track record, there's a chance that they'll be stuck on those 18 gauge needles for the rest of their urethane lives :-). Ideally, I would really like to finish up the Red October cast. I already have a Sam Neill head, but convincing myself to sculp Alex Baldwyn is another matter ... especially with him doing train films these days :-(. However, my main obstacle to this project is the Russian Naval officer suits. There's a lot of minute details in that outfit and if I do this project, it'll have have to be done right. This means hours and hours of research getting the exact design of the metals and suits and man did Capt. Ramius have metals up the ying yang. Right now I'm not sure I have that kind of motivation. I'd also like to start a Highlander project. Designing and replicating all those intricate details of Ramirez's costume has me salivating.
