The third son of a wealthy clansman, Nal was a bright boy and very patient with his two younger sisters. At the age of Six a terrible fever swept through Nal's clan. Nal nearly surcame to the illness, when he had a fever dream of a raven. When he awoke from the dream his fever had broke. He recovered and became one of the fastest youths in the clan, always one to test his abilities in the games. His skill with the bow was marginal, but his natural grace with the practice simitar promted a few lessons from the village warriors. Over the years his skill with the scimitar increased and he mannage to best a great many of the village youths in sparring matches. Nal was very connected with the horses of the clan and spent a good deal of time tending the horses.

At the Age of 12, Nal was sent into the wastes for 2 weeks Where he met Abdula the Warrior, a powerful fighter on his way to the oasis. They stalked the wastes for a week in search of a rare herb. There they discussed many ancient secrets by the fire. with some effort Abdula imparted the time honored technique of Dragon Flight. Utilizing DragonFlight, Nal was able to fly up into the air and locate the dark patches of vegitaion that the herb grew into. At the end of the second week, A freak dust storm rose up and the two sought refuge in a small temple of Nephthys. Inside they were welcomed by the Clerics of Nephthys and Nal caught his first glimpse of the Nephthys Priests in their black tunics practicing the Martial Art of Vale Tudo. The storm raged for three days, durring which he oberved the forms of Vale Tudo and learned of the Goddess Nephthys. When the storm cleared, Nal bid Abdula farewell and Marakesh of Nephthys Order escorted Nal home and arranged for his apprenticeship to the Nephthysian Order.

Nal spent the next 6 years living with the Nephthys Order Training his mind, body, and soul by meditating, mantaining the sacred garden of the temple, and bathing in the sacred pool.

After years of meditation and rigorous training, Nal managed to successfully gather up mystic energies of the order like the deep underground water and well Shin Darkness around his limbs as he lashed out with fluid strikes. Nal continued his training and perfected the fluid darkwell kick technique of Vale Tudo. Nal also had limited success in drawing upon the tears of the nine inner ka's to unleash the "Pathos Wave" energy blast from the eyes.

At 21 Nal was Ordained in the Nephthysian Order and began to accompany trading Caravans and lend his aid as a guard. On one particular outing a theif entered the camp on Coyote's request to cause some sort of mischief. The thief was confronted by Nal. A fight ensued and the thief was incapacitated with a single blow of the darkwell kick technique. Coyote was so enraged that his mistief had been thwarted he animated the thief's fallen dager and cut an 'x' shapped scar across Nal's nosebridge. When the clamor of alarm was raised, Coyote polymorphed into a swift desert beast and scooped the thief up and away into the night.

Durring a stop at a local tavern, Nal encountered a surrly Battlerager from one of the Dwarven Clans. The Battlerager told a story that some townsfolk heard strange noises emminating from a nearby cave. Nal agreed to join this Battlerager to investigate the Strange Cave.

The noises came from a sleeping Ogre that was conforntaional. The Battle rager handilly dispatched the Ogre and I burred the arm of the dead bear it was using as a bed. Even among animals some rites should be performed. In the cave I found some ancient runecarved arrows that may be usefull later in my journies.
