The cute little animal is called an Cabbit...that would be Ryo-Ohki...she has four forms...one is a little animal called a Cabbit...The one seen in this pick, this her little girl form, and theres a full grown female form...and she also turns into a space ship...the Girl w/ the blue spikey hair is the demoness Ryoko...In the series she gets released form a cave by the main character Tenchi...
This is Ryo-Ohki in her other three forms...cute huh???...and another cabbit named Ken-Ohki (he's the white one)

This is Mihoshi...True blond all the way to the roots but she means well...and her partner Kiona...they both R detectives in the Galaxy Space Police....
And last but not least is Aeka and Sasami...Sasami is the little girl and Aeka is the girl w/ the purple hair....both Sasami and Aeka R princesses of Jurai....Jurai is the planet they R from
