A little bit about me.

First of all, my name is Chris. I've been a graphic artist for over ten years, and I love dark and bent things. I also have the ability to draw and paint beautiful things. I have a wide variety of influences, and inspirations, including Bill Sienkiewicz, Jae Lee, Mike Mignola, and most recently, Travis Charest. This does not exclude Frank Frazetta, Geiger, Olivia, Vargas or about a million others. If you've seen my Gallery, you've seen their influences in my work.

I literally have hundreds of pictures that I could post, and I change them when I can find something to better illustrate my range and depth as an artist. Actually, that sounds pretty lame, I draw cool things, and not much else. I love monsters and villains, as well as heroes and maidens. Not surprisingly, my ideal job would be as creator for a series of stories, or games. I do this for fun, and have worked on several comic books as an artist, as well as a creator.

I am a certified Graphic Designer, and I went to school for digital media. I have even worked as an instructor for Digital Media Studios, here in Toronto. I am trained in the use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark XPress, Painter, HTML, Flash3, Director, Word, Extreme 3D, Dreamweaver, Ray Dream Studio, Maya(some), BB Edit, Gifbuilder, some Soundedit, and Acrobat. If any other programs were to become available to me, I would love the opportunity to learn them as well. Learning is not much of a problem for me, an example might be this page. I made it as an exercise after reading a chapter in a book.

On a personal note, I have many hobbies and interests. I like loud music(industrial, if I can find it), murder mysteries (Sherlock Holmes, Raymond Chandler), fantasy novels(Lord Of the Rings, the Chronicles of Prydain), as well as cyberpunk (William Gibson). I like comic books(Hellboy, Bone), and sports(I play Hockey, Baseball, etc.), and I've seen enough movies to be a movie critic. A good one, I bet.
