The heroic Autobot Kup. Stricken with an old body, and gifted with a forever young spark. In the last days of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, he was pressured to retire being that there were no more battles to fight. Peace lived on Cybertron for many cycles. With energon becoming more and more scarce, the Transformers needed to downsize and find a means of using different fuels. The rogue gestalt named Predaking was already on top of this project, and he created the Predacons. Energy efficient, robots with one goal in mind. To take over Cybertron, and the rest of the universe. In his retirement on Earth, Kup yearned for battle. His gears needed the exercise, and he was running out of stories to tell younger Autobots. With the newfound situation on Cybertron, Kup and many other retired Autobots including Grimlock received a message from Optimus Prime. "My fellow comrades. There is a new threat on our homeworld that endangers the very peace that we have fought centuries to achieve. It's name is Predaking. We all know what this menace is capable of as we have fought him before. The Predacons are no more. With the help of the Liege Maximo, Predaking fused them together so that he would be online for good. This message is a cry for help Autobots. Predaking has his own minions who he call's "Predacons". They are much more energy efficient, agile, and smaller. And yet they pose a great threat to, Autobots and Decepticons alike. I need your help comrades, I am offering you new bodies and a chance to fight for our cause once again. You will be rebuilt using the Predacon technology as the Maximals. It is a dangerous and risky cause, but you were my finest warriors, and I need you once more. May Primus protect us all. It never ends!" Upon hearing this message, Kup returned to Cybertron and accepted the opportunity to fight once again. During the spark transfer sequence, the Predacons attacked the new Maximal facility, and Kup's spark was damaged. His memories and stories were forgotten. But not for good. Adopting the new name of Rattrap, he fights along side the Maximals as a spy, occasionally helping his friend Razorbeast and clone brother Packrat in their pursuit to assasinate Predaking. Each new battle brings back memories of old, when the warrior Kup with the young spark fought on Cybertron. Rattrap is a loyal Maximal who plans to see the Beast Wars through until his spark is extinguished, and further if he can. If you bug Rattrap enough, he might even tell you a story he remembers about the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, or maybe even new stories about the Maximals and Predacons. But be careful of his quick wit, he just might fry your humour chip because he's known to make the best jokes on Cybertron.
