Question: Is Bible the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, God help us all?

THE TRUTHFUL WITNESS

"If I [Jesus] bear witness of myself, my witness is not true." (John 5:31)
"I [Jesus] am one that bear witness of myself..." (John 8:18)

HAS ANYONE SEEN GOD?

"...for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (Genesis 32:30)
"No man hath seen God at any time..." (John 1:18)

DOES GOD TEMPT PEOPLE?

"...for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man." (James 1:13)
"And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham..." (Genesis 22:1)

THE HOUR OF CRUCIFIXION

"And it was the third hour, and they crucified him." (Mark 15:25)
"...and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him." (John 19:14-15)

EXISTENCE OF THE EARTH

HOW MANY BARE RULE OVER THE PEOPLE?

DID PAUL'S MEN HEAR A VOICE?

HOW MANY ANIMALS WERE IN THE ARK?

"And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shall thou bring into the ark..." (Genesis 6:19)
"Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and fowls, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth. There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah." (Genesis 7:8-9)

The answer appears to be negative.

The Bible cannot be entirely true. It is inconsistent with itself. What else can you expect from a compilation of text written thousands of years apart? However, there are tens of thousands, nay, hundreds of thousands who are absolutely convinced that the Bible is to taken literally, word for word. Frightening, isn't it?
