Is "Marilyn Manson" in fact "Jesus Christ"? Most people don't seem to realise that Brian Warner is no more "Antichrist" that Jesus Nazarene was "Christ".
Question: Is Brian Warner actually a re-incarnation of Jesus Nazarene?
Well, there are re-incarnations of Dalai-lama, so why not Jesus?
Let's examine some similarities between our two unlikely twins:
- Jesus wasn't exactly popular until people found out he's a brainiac and can "talk pretty". We have very little information about his childhood and youth. But if people were aware of his existence before his career as a Teacher, they surely would've mentioned it for his numerous biographies.
- Jesus was a strange child. If the Scripture is accurate, which is highly questionable, there was at least one time when Jesus ran away from home. It's sobering to think Jesus probably have gone through the usual teenage angst.
- Jesus was a mama's boy. Joseph died, so Maria raised Jesus herself. And thus Jesus was partially spared from the "women-are-property" viewpoint fathers passed on to their sons. Of course, the teachers at the synagogue set him straight about the true status of women. But still, Jesus was never hostile towards women. It was very uncommon, according to the Bible, for men and women to be friends back then, yet he was buddies with a few (we assume none of his relationships were sexual, but something makes me doubt it. Even if he was some kind of divine incarnation, he got a certain thing called hormones with the body he jumped into. And those are very hard to ignore).
- Jesus had a major problem with the established religion.
- Jesus got in trouble with the law.
- Jesus was bloody opinionated.
- Jesus went 100% against the grain.
- Jesus befriended the outcasts.
hmmm...
But we'll have to keep in mind that Jesus grew up in the plentyful and peaceful hills of Galilei, and Manson - during the information age. Notice how the more Jesus got to know the world and standarts outside his safe haven, the more pissed he got.
- With dumb disciples who had no idea what he was talking about;
- With the sagisees and pharisees and "teachers of the law", who hated his guts for ruining the public's trust in them;
Even if he generally didn't mind all the folks that were out to get him, he got very irritated at them sometimes;
- Like Manson, he entertained a crowd to get his point across (what do you think sermons were in those book-less, cinema-less;TV-less days?);
- He didn't think a lot would understand him, but the few that do will be okay.If the shoe fits. All hail the Son of Man?
