for M.
What would it take to win your heart?
Must I bathe you in moonlight, silver and
soft?
Or save a falling star and send it back to its loft?
Tap the fires of the sun to warm the
coldest night?
Steal the wings from an angel to grant your soul flight?
Whisper words of love
no man has heard before?
Forge bonds of truth that will stand forevermore?
Blend the colors of
the rainbow, just to match your eyes?
Speed across the world to follow a never-ending sunrise?
Brush
the pigment from a rose to capture your lips' hue?
Preserve your beauty in a mirror made of morning's
dew?
Build a city of diamond from a mountain of coal?
Cast a bell of purest silver the world
will hear toll?
Kneel humbly before you, and lay my heart at your feet?
Or fight the war eternal,
in your name, and never know defeat?
Spin fabric of the finest silk to wipe away your tears?
Chase
away your nightmares, and ease your darkest fears?
Shall I overcome death, and return from heaven's
gate?
Or live for all eternity, if forever I must wait?
When all I ever do is done solely for
your sake,
Tell me, dearest lady, what would it take?
