Only One Wish
It's dark out here
And I'm all alone
I look at the stars
And wish I
weren't home.
As I sit outside
I start to day dream
My mind wonders off
To a world I've never
seen.
The birds always sing
And the sky is always blue.
I look all around
And then I
see you
The sun shines bright
And I feel tongue tied
but when you hold my hand
I feel
all warm inside
We walk down the street
And see couples go by
but they could never be
As
happy as you and I
We walk hand-in-hand
And gaze into each others eyes,
I start falling
in love
As the time flies
We went for a ride
In a hot air balloon
I looked at my watch,
and knew I had to wake up soon
before I knew it,
it was time to say "good-bye".
but when
we did
I wanted to cry
You put your arms around me
and gave me a kiss
I closed my eyes,
And made a wish
I wished that when I woke up
We would be together
together forever!
but
when I opened my eyes
and you weren't there,
I fell to my knees
and cried in despair
Now I make the same wish
almost every night
On that one special star that shines so bright
I hope that some day
My wish will come true
Cause the only one I want
Could only be you.
