Squeeze

Tom Colton-a classmate from the Academy at Quantico-asks Scully to look in on a baffling case in Baltimore, Maryland. In the past six weeks, there have been three murders in which the killer ripped out his victims liver with his bare hands, but left no clear point of entry to the crime scene. Aware of an X-File with the same details, Mulder tags along and-mich to Colton's chagrin-Mulder finds an elongated fingerprint on a small air conditioning vent at the latest crime scene. Colton immediately dismisses the evidence, but Mulder finds that it matches prints taken from ten other murders: five in 1933, five more in 1963.

Utilizing a profile prepared by Scully, the FBI soon apprehends Eugene Victor Tooms. After passing a lie detector test, however, Tooms is released. Mulder knows it's a mistake. Once elongated, Tooms fingerpirnts match those at the crime scene. Events soon prove Mulder's theory as Tooms stretches himself to squeeze down a chimney and murder a fourth victim.

The next day, Mulder and Scully find a nestlike structure below Tooms last known residence. It is here that he hibrinates between killing sprees-substained by the stolen livers. In revenge, Tooms decides to make Scully his last victim, but-thankfully-Mulder arrives in time to stop him.
