Thunder In Paradise told the tale of two ex-Navy SEALs, RJ Spencer (Hulk Hogan) and Martin Brubaker (Chris Lemmon) who between them built a boat to rival all others, and used it to fight evil and make the world a safer (if slightly sillier) place. They met on a tour of duty during the Vietnam War (despite the fact that clearly neither of them was old enough to have made it there) and have been together ever since. This woefully short-lived series may have been one of the silliest shows ever on TV, and the endings were rather schmaltzy, but I still love it, and still watch it whenever I can. It's a wonderful example of how television should never take itself too seriously, and whereas Hulk Hogan may not be winning any awards for his acting, kudos has to go to Chris Lemmon, who has clearly inherited more than just his father's looks. Who cares if it was more about fantasy than reality? I say bring it back.
