(01/01) Forever was an amount of time of unending waiting. Of loneliness and darkness, till the light of another reached her life. Tracy Vetter, now Tracy Dillenger wife of Thomas Dillenger was in a bed at the local hospital. Machines were on all around her, trying to keep her mortal physical body alive. Her soul was long gone, far away, journeying to the light the bright light at the end of the tunnel. There was no end, just silence, light. Light that was so bright.... Tracy's eyes snapped opened to see a doctor over her examining her eyes with a bright flashlight. "Forgive me, Ms. Dillenger..." he apologized. "You were not responding for a few minutes, and we were getting a little worried..." "I'm alright," she cut him off sharply trying to sit up in her bed. The doctor helped her up worrying for her fragile health. "Please do call if you need assistance," the doctor told her. "Just in case." "Thank you Dr. Thompson, but I will be alright," she replied. The doctor looked worried at her then turned and left the room. Tracy laid back on her pillow sitting up on her bed staring at the night scene outside. The moon glowed with silver shining on the beautiful city of Toronto. A city that she had lived in all her life, a city that she experienced the most amazing experiences in. She closed her eyes, she knew she was dying. After all, a hundred was long enough for any mortal person even in the 21st century. She did not know how long that she had slept, there was only darkness in her sleep no dreams no nightmares. However, she knew something or someone was around her watching her. "Thomas," she murmured softly recovering from her sleep. "Is that you?" The figure said not a word and came up to her. She felt a light kiss on her forehead and that was all she felt. "Forever is an eternity of life's greatest treasures. Forever is a block of time between death and life..." he gently kissed her on the lips. "One last goodbye, before this world is gone.. and you are renewed..." Tracy's eyes opened wide as she gasped knowing who the stranger was. "Lucien?" There was nothing, no one in front of her. Tracy looked at the curtains which played with the wind as the silver moon graced in the dark night sky with the stars. The night indeed signaled a new beginning, two lovers lost in the night. One day however, in lives beyond lives, in time beyond time. The paths of Tracy Vetter and Lucien LaCroix will cross again to meet and join for all eternity. ~End~ Miranda fleurdebrabant@cybergal.com http://miranda.bradet.com
