A great Tracy FAQ sheet can be found at http://users.LMI.net/akr/fk/faq/tracy.html so I decided to post this instead ;-)

In fic I've occasionally mentioned that due to our favorite detective's appearance on the Jerry Tate Show, that she might have had an active fan club in TO  (and maybe done talks at women's groups or shelters) anyway, besides that, her name probably came up in the news all the time.  So I thought what if someone kept a scrapbook of Tracy articles?  Could be interesting reading eh?

Det. Vetter, Rising Star?

Gordon Fuller

So we all saw last week's Jerry Tate Show, one full hour dedicated to singing the praises of the 96th precinct's very own Det. Tracy Vetter.  Everyone's favorite gal with a gun. But is Vetter really the "rising star" that Tate dubbed her?

Tracy Anne Vetter, though only 25, is so gifted, so talented and shot through high school and college at such a record speed that's she's already a homicide detective.  Or at least, that's how Tate would tell it. Truth is, Vetter comes from a long line of cops, practically a legacy. Her own father just happens to be on the Police Commission, in fact no less than 12 Officer Vetter's have or do work in Toronto, Tracy being lucky 13.

Looking more like a runway model than a cop, this Vetter has already been in more than a dozen officer related shootings, she's gone undercover without the knowledge or permission of her supervisors and this reporter has learned that she has been openly insubordinate to ranking officers.

Though there is no denying that Vetter is a highly intelligent, one can't help but wonder what kind of person denies an obvious aptitude for medicine and law, being offered a scholarship in both fields, still goes into criminal justice? Vetter hardly dates or socializes, and is perhaps too dedicated to her chosen career. And paired up with  Nick 'Golden Boy' Knight, Vetter has become even more of a Girl Guide than she was in her youth.

Could we hope for a more perfect, shiny example of a magistrate? I doubt it. Not since Dudley Do-Right have we seen such perfection in an officer. But forgive me when I say this "rising star" has no business being a cop at all. What kind of person would squander her potential just to follow in the family footsteps? And what kind of society are we, when people like Tate applaud her for it?

Just this reporter's opinion, I could be wrong.

Vudu Killer Caught!

Assimilated Press

Toronto breaths easier this morning with the news that the Voodoo killer has been brought down.  Late last night, homicide detectives Nicholas Knight and Tracy Vetter tracked and dealt with the insane bomber, who's use of music boxes with the song 'Black Magic' earned him the name 'Vudu.'

*Fuller was the reporter in the FK episode 'Francesca.'    According to Tracy they went out "once," as in only once.    Was he bitter?  I bet so!  Anyway, this is obviously fake, I wrote everything.   All the 'facts' I have Fuller quote aren't canon, but certainly aren't in opposition to it either. If you want the real, canon-supported scoop on Tracy, do check out Amy Rambow's Tracy FAQ sheet, it's got it all. :)
