War: DP: Of Bunnies and Body Shots Place: The UF's Party, by the bar mostly Time: 11 'til 2, Tuesday into Wednesday By: Cousin Mary Caro and Mary had just finished getting ready for the UF's party, they thought they looked pretty good. But when Kimmer, Diehard nee Ravenette showed up, she took one look at them and gave a horrified shriek. "No! Absolutely not!" Kimmer circled around them both with a look on her face that plainly said that DPs should not be allowed to dress themselves. "If you're coming with me tonight then we need to make some changes." And with that they were taken to some of the most exclusive boutiques in Toronto, so exclusive in fact Mary suspected they only catered to Ravenettes… They were horribly assaulted under Kimmer's watchful eye and moments later they were spat back out onto the Toronto streets looking both fabulous and slightly disorientated and a bit panicky. "What the-?" Caro looked down at her new ankle length scarlet red Japanese tea dress, she still had her boots (they hadn't been able to convince her to shed those) but her hair was now a deep blue with two locks dyed pure white hanging on either side of her face. She had to admit though, she looked amazing. Mary wasn't too sure about her own fitted black silk tux. It was tailored to fit her curves, but in the past Mary'd always worn short skirts to parties such as this, and pants just felt odd with heels. The stylists insisted she looked great, and in heels she was insanely tall and elegant looking enough to be seen with even a Ravenette, but still… Kimmer just smiled at the sight of the two dazed looking Perks and smoothed down her own emerald velvet gown with the slit up one side. And with a flick of her wrist the car service she'd order arrived and whisked them away to the Hive for the party. Once there the trio of spectacularly dressed women headed straight to the bar where they claimed seats to watch the crowd. They looked around for Janette, as Kimmer was eager to speak with her, but the vampiress was no where to be found. "Well, this place looks great," Caro announced loudly, earning a few odd looks from those around. Mary nodded, turning to look down the bar for a server, "Oh my." "What?" Kimmer followed Mary's gaze, "Oh my, my, my." "What are you both looking at?" Caro leaned forward to peer down the bar as well. She gasped, "Miklos." And sure enough the Greek bartender turned and gave the women a devastating smile before heading up to take their orders. Mary and Caro were lost, staring openly now at the tuxedo clad vampire that had stolen their attention away from the main male characters of FK and focused it fully on his flowing black locks and oh so strong and swoon-worthy jaw line. Kimmer wasn't doing much better, but after a moment was able to breathlessly order, "A martini rossi asti spumonte, please." Mary and Caro sputtered something unintelligible, but the vampire seemed to take pity on them and bring them drinks as well. Once beverages were in hand, and the object of their desire was out of earshot, the elegant women dissolved into a pack of teenage girls, giggling madly and making comments that most would consider well beneath their dignity. But every few minutes Miklos would return with his irresistible smile, a flash of white against a perfect olive face, and refill their drinks. No one was quite sure how many times this happened before the girls stopped waiting for Miklos to be out of earshot. "Come on," Caro leaned forward, giving the vampire an excellent view of her curves, "If you'd just take off your shirt… how about just the jacket? Will you take off the jacket?" Miklos had pretty much abandoned serving the party in favor of basking in the three women's undivided attention. If someone came up to the bar he'd get their drinks, but only if they were insistent. His lips curled up in sort of a half smile as he slipped off his jacket, the white silk shirt underneath straining across his broad shoulders and he hung it on a hook beside the bar. Kimmer sighed happily and sipped her drink. She always had a good time with the DP, sure they were boisterous, over-caffeinated and generally unruly, but hey, they were fun! She took another sip and almost snorted it out her nose when Mary asked the Greek if body shots were allowed. Mary was well into her best come on yet, and the bartender was looking more than a bit interested when the DP Godmommy's cell phone came to life with the Peter Gunn theme. "Drat," The blonde muttered, grabbing the offending bit of plastic and turning away from the bar, "This better be good!" "Is that how you're answering the phone now?" An amused Tracy Vetter asked over the line. "Oh, hi Tracy," Mary's eyes came up to meet Caro's worriedly. Kimmer raised an eyebrow. What were these two up to, the Diehard wondered. She listened to half a conversation and watched as Mary got more sober and less enthused. "Uh huh, uh huh." Mary nodded, her eyes focused on nothing now as she listened intently. "Now? As in now, now?" She looked grim. "Yeah, me and Caro, we'll be there. Bye." Mary looked up, gave Miklos one last look of longing, like he was the last cupcake at the bake sale and turned to Kimmer with sad eyes. "We have to go." "Why?" The former Ravenette was surprised to say the least, why leave a great party like this? "I've got Tracy's spare keys and she needs to get into her apartment," Mary held up a set of keys on a bunny shaped chain. "Now?!" Caro whined. "Believe it or not, Tracy doesn't want to spend all night in her hallway," Mary said wryly, "And if I have to go, so do you." Kimmer watched the battle of wills between the two young women, but eventually Caro didn't have the heart to send her friend off into the cold November night alone. And so they left, and the Kimmer realized that she'd been left alone with Miklos. Her eyes widened and she turned back to the bar. The vampire smiled. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lucky Kimmer!!!! anteros@juno.com
