War: DP: A Walk on the Dark Pink Side (1/1) Place: the Raven Time: Saturday night, the 13th lasting 'til dawn By: Cousin Mary Mary couldn't believe she was –camping-. The DP Godmommy didn't – camp-. She didn't do bugs and sleeping on dirt. Her idea of roughing it was a hotel without a pool! "Hey, Sherri!" Mary called out, leaving her tent and slowly creeping towards her neighbor. The 21 year old pushed her hair behind her sparkly plush cat ears and peeked her head out of her inflatable tent, "Yeah?" "Wanna get out of here?" Mary asked, pulling on her shoes… heels. Sherri-neko's eyes widened, "Go where?" "The Raven?" The blonde asked hopefully. "What about Tracy?" The anime-obsessed Thug pointed towards the area where Tracy was sleeping, without a tent, roughing-it. Mary shrugged, "We'll be back by morning, she'll never know." Sherri looked around the camp, most of the other DP seemed to be sleeping or at least were being very quiet, "Kay, lemme get dressed." Minutes later Sherri slipped out of her tent wearing an anime tank under a black lace shawl with a matching ankle length skirt, "Ready." Mary eyed her with a smile, "Okay Stevie Nicks, let's go." Sherri grinned (she did love Stevie Nicks!) and followed Mary towards the bikes everyone knew Gubs had hidden in the trailer. It was tricky unloading the things, but eventually they were off and they started walking them up the path out of camp. "And where do you two think you're going?" Came a voice from the darkness. Mary spun around and froze at the noise, Sherri just moved faster and was halfway up the hill before they realized that hadn't been Tracy's voice. "Oh, hi Anne!" Mary waved at her co-leader, "Um, we were, just, ah-" Anne eyed her, taking in Mary's green metallic mini and black halter top (under a coat of course, it's –cold- out), "You were sneaking off to go clubbing." Sherri and Mary exchanged a look and waited for Anne to kick their butts back to their tents. "Wait a sec," Anne said with a smirk, "I'll go change." Mary grinned, "Sure thing!" Moments later Anne emerged from her tent in a black skirt that hit just above her knee and a magenta silk blouse, with a matching scarf around her neck that hung down her back. She tugged on a pair of spiked heels decorated with tiny dark pink crystals on the toe. She looked like a 30's film siren as she sauntered over to the bikes. So then there were three nicely dress women pushing motorcycles up the frozen dirt path that would eventually lead back to the city. They were being extra quiet as they snuck away like guilty teenagers, their minds filled with visions of warm nightclubs and cool little drinks with pink umbrellas. Once they thought they were far enough away, they started up the bikes and shivered their way back to the DP Mansion, where they picked up the Pink-mobile, 'cause it was just too freaking cold in Toronto to ride motorcycles while wearing skirts! "My-my teeth won't stop chattering!" Mary stuttered, "Oh, we-we gotta stop by the Vaqueras' Church." "Wawhy?" Anne chattered back, "I th-thought we were going to the Raven, not attacking anyone." "No attack," Mary started to unthaw as the Cadillac's heater did its job, "Cloud hasn't been clubbing all war, she's gotta be dying. I called her from the Mansion and she wants to go." "Kay," Anne pointed the boat of a car at the Church and off they went. >>>>>>>> Cloud was waiting outside the Church freezing her ever-loving butt off. Jumping from one foot to the other she was starting to rethink this whole 'night out' business. Finally after what seemed like hours (though it'd really only been like 10 minutes) she saw a car rolling down the street. "Finally!" "Cloud?" The Californian Vaq spun on her heels slowly as she watched in horror as Tricia made her way down the steps of the Church to her side, obviously to find out why the heck she was out here in the freezing cold. Not that Cloud didn't like her fellow Vaq, far from it, the problem however, was that Tricia had made it quite clear on numerous occasions that she couldn't –stand- the DP. The DP being the faction that was currently on their way down the street, "Uh, hi Tricia, how are, um, things?" "What are you doing out-" Suddenly Tricia's brown eyes narrowed as a pink auto jumped up on the curb beside then, "Dark Perks!" There was a blur of motion and no one could be quite sure what happened when all was said and done. Mary, Anne and Sherri had leapt out of the car, probably in order to get Cloud inside and warm as quickly as possible, but somehow Tricia had been swept in as well. The DP-hating Vaq had tried to argue, but there may have been chloroform involved somehow and something happened, I don't know, but anyway, all 5 women were soon on their way to the goth club. "She can't wear that!" Sherri shrieked as they pulled into the Raven's lot. (It was surprisingly easy to find a Caddy sized spot outside the club by the way.) Cloud looked down at her groggy friend who was currently looking at her own hand with great interest. She was wearing all black, which was fine and dandy for the Raven, but she was wearing black jeans and a tee-shirt and no one thought Janette would approve of that. Someone had a spare black dress, again in the confusion no one was quite clear who's dress it was originally, but soon it was on the Vaq. She got to keep her boots and the leather jacket, but her beautiful waist- length, wavy, dark brown with natural red highlights was swept back with silver and pink quartz combs on both sides of her head, spilling it down her back dramatically. They swaggered into the Raven like they owned the joint. The music was thumping something dark with a lot of bass and the air was almost steamy in comparison to the frigid street. The DP and Vaqs scanned the crowd for anyone they knew. There were over 140 FK fans playing in the War after all, chances are – somebody- would be at the Raven… just hopefully not anyone they had recently attacked ;-) "Mary!" Came a cry and a curvy blonde in a blood red silk sheath waved from a table that overlooked the dance floor. "Kimmer!" The DP Godmommy yelled back, easily weaving her 6 foot in heels frame through the crowd with the others close behind, "How are you?" "Fabulous sweetie," Kimmer dimpled up at her, "Still recovering from the UF's party." She winked. "I bet you are," Anne laughed, pulling up a chair. Soon the group of six was lounging about the table, looking most elegant and relaxed. "We're supposed to be in the woods," Sherri smiled, "This is much better." Cloud stretched a bit in her chair, her black beaded dress catching the club's lights as she moved. "Did you see a waitress anywhere?" "What can I get you Beauties?" Miklos's voice melted a trail down everyone's spine and they all turned to admire the vampire preening for them. A few happy sighs escaped. Kimmer smiled, there was just something about Miklos, "Can I get a-" "A martini rossi asti spumonte, correct?" Miklos smiled at former Ravenette's blush. "And for the rest of you?" "Margarita," Sherri knew she shouldn't, but when else was she going to get a chance to come to the Raven? She had to get a drink here. "White Russian," Mary managed to be vocal around the Greek bartender this time, yay her! Cloud orders her drink in a rather breathless voice and ordered a Scotch on the rocks for Tricia who was still a bit out of it, but coming to. And finally Miklos turned those dancing black eyes on Anne, "And for you Beauty?" Anne stopped a moment and then shook her head, "None right now, I'll be right back." And with that the green eyed DP left the table. "Where's she going? Cloud asked. "No idea," Mary shrugged, then enjoyed the view of Miklos walking away from their table. "Ahh." The group soon discovered that a silly little thing like paying for their drinks didn't exist when Miklos was their bartender. The vampire loved women, especially women who loved him, and so far the DP, Vaqs and token Diehard hadn't had to worry about a thing. Tricia had come out of her chloroform fog and was well on her way to a Scotch fog, which seemed to involve dancing with someone who looked rather Vachon-like in the flashing club lights. There was dancing and a bit of singing. And the whole group seemed to become the life of the party. Tricia herself was seen leading a conga line around the club only to be awarded a bright pink feather boa from a club goer who turned out to be the infamous Alma. "Hey, isn't that Alma?" Anne asked when she returned from wherever she'd gone. She had a drink in hand now and seemed to be catching up fairly quickly… they'd definitely need a taxi to get home. "Alma?" Mary craned her neck, "Yep, pretty sure." "Home wrecker," Anne saluted her with her drink. "Shh!" Mary giggled, "She'll drain us both." "These things happen," Anne shrugged, then giggled and danced herself back to their table. Sherri was twirling around on the dance floor, her gypsy skirt flying out around her. The music was a haunting violin number now and Miklos must have taken a break because he was slow dancing with Cloud in the corner. Kimmer was once more surveying the club like the Ravenette she was and Tricia was trying to get the DJ to play some Gregorian chants, or failing that Mandy. Whether she meant the singer Mandy or Barry Manilow's 'Mandy', no one was sure. Anne and Mary were discussing books and hoping that no fans of 'the Da Vinci Code' in the room had fangs, because once again, they'd be drained. It was a tremendous night all around and by the time the sun was peeking over the horizon and all the DP and Vaqs were piled into a cab they couldn't help but sigh in contented exhaustion. "Say, where's Kimmer?" Sherri asked, dark eyes blinking sleepily. "Don't worry," Mary gave a little smile, "Miklos will get her home, he always does." "Well, here's our stop," Cloud announced as the yellow cab pulled up to the Church, "Thanks for a great time everybody!" "Yeah, thanks," Tricia nodded drowsily and flipped her pink boa behind her as she exited behind her friend, "We have to do this again sometime." "Sure thing Tricia," Anne smiled perkily, handing the Vaq a small brown velveteen rabbit with a dark pink bow around its neck. Tricia beamed. "Bye!" The DP waved as they drove off. "Ugh, we still have to hike back into camp!" Mary whined when the cab pulled up to the dirt path. "Not too far," Sherri yawned, paying the driver and waving him off. "Think they noticed we were gone?" Anne asked. "If they did we'll say we were on official business," Mary suggested. "Dressed like this?" Sherri's eyebrow went up. "Uh," Anne looked down at herself, "Let's sneak in –very- quietly. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shhh! anteros@juno.com
