Knacks Manipulate Attack Effect: Anticipate Blow + Per Action: Y Karma: N Discipline: Spiritual Monk(7) Strain: 3 By manipulating the attacking characters arms and wrists, the monk is able to cause the attacker to hit himself/herself with the melee weapon that is being used against the monk. This is done by anticipating where the arms and wrists will be at any given moment and being able to direct the force of the attacker back toward himself/herself. The effect test is used against the attacker's attack test for success. If successful, the attack is considered to go against the attacker. This does not mean that the attacker automatically takes damage. The attack must hit the attacker, and then damage is Tallied. Leg Sweep Effect: Unarmed Combat + Dex Action: Y Karma: N Discipline: Spiritual Monk (4) , Warrior (5) Strain: 1 Dropping down and swinging out with leg to sweep the leg of opponent. Use effect test for knockdown test. Arrow Fall Effect: Missile Weapons Arrow). Action: Y Karma: N Discipline: Archer(4) Strain: 2 The archer infuses the arrow with a magic force that when it hits the opponent, the opponent must make a knock down test against the effect test or fall The arrow vanishes after it leaves the bow, and only the invisible force rushes toward the opponent. This causes no damage. Lasso Effect: Missle Weapons + Dex + 2 Action: Y Karma: Y Discipline: Archer(4) Strain: 3 The arrow flies at the target and forms a loop of strong cord around the target when it hits. The loop is attached to a rope which appears attached to the weapon used. A strength test of 13 is required to break the loop. Alternately, the rope itself has a death rating of 15. The loop has a death rating of 22. When the loop or rope is broken, the rope and loop disolve. Lasso does not cause any damage. If an excellent success is made, the target's arms are pinned to his sides (assuming that the attack is not a called shot to someplace other than the body). Once pinned, the target is considered grappled, and can either break the loop, or get loose of the loop using the Lasso effect test as the Unarmed Combat difficulty. The same rules for a Grappled character apply. Enforce Will. Effect: Threadweaving Duration: ½ Rank in Threadweaving in rounds (round up) Range: Touch Discipline: Ele, Ill, Neth (7) Wiz (6) The spellcaster must form a connection with the target whom he/she is going to enforce. This connection is made by touch. The target must be willing to accept. The caster forms a temporary thread from his Willforce talent to the target. The difficulty is the target's Spell Defense. However, the target cannot voluntarily lower his/her Spell Defense. After the connection is made, the target gains the use of the Willforce talent. In effect, the wizard is granting the target the use of his/her willforce. After a number of rounds equal to half the wizards rank in Threadweaving, the wizard must re-establish the connection, or it is broken. While the connection is made, the wizard cannot use his/her Willforce for themselves. The wizard can break the connection at any time. Redirect Effect: Riposte + Dex + 3 Action: Y Karma: Y Discipline: Swordmaster (6) The swordmaster can use redirect to direct the melee weapon of the attacker toward another direction, in the same general direction as the attack.. Example:
Sword could not be redirected to the rear, or any position behind the initial attacker. Second opponent must be within range.
