Present Date:August 19, 6012 AD
The HyperDoll Project (HDP) was started on January 21st, 2031 at which MacinTech Technologies Inc., Daitokuji Enterprises, and the Lunar Base Military Faction came together in a meeting to discuss the creation of an Artificially Intelligent Lifeform that would think, act, and pass as a real human for the purposes of industrial espionage and intelligence manipulation. After the Preliminary meeting, Tiffany Macintosh, CEO and co-founder of MacinTech, headed up the programming, while Hikari Daitokuji, CEO of Daitokuji Enterprises, Headed up the physical assembly and construction of the HyperDoll chassis.
On November 1, 2031, the HyperDoll Prototype was completed. Virtually flawless in design, it featured synthesized skin that was impossible to determine from real skin, a blood circulatory system, respiratory system, nervous system, and a free mind and personality that made it indistinguishable when set next to a true flesh and blood human. To defeat scanners, it incorporated a false bioreading, which defined it as a real human.
To satisfy the Military, it was equipped with a Desert Eagle (.28mm with Israeli Gas Recoil) as a personal handgun, 10 fragmentation grenades, 12 knives (6 poison-tipped, 6 plain), a small Grendel arm gun (9mm), and a new weapon unknown to Military warfare: A neural link, originally designed to upload/download information to computer consoles, was found to be quite fatal to the human victim if the link tried to access the human brain. The neural link when attached to the brainstem of a human would literally dig its way up the stem and into the brain itself, taking the information needed by force and liquifying the brain, all to the excruciating pain of the victim. This method was rarely used except in extreme cases.
To combat a superiority complex from arising, the HyperDoll was programmed with subroutines that made the HyperDoll belive that it was truly human and when the truth was discovered, that the HyperDoll would pass it off as mere fiction. However, when it was to be used for its intended purpose, an oral passcode was spoken to the HyperDoll, which caused an entirely different and separate personality to activate. When the task was completed, the HyperDoll returned to the original personality and all memory of the task was deleted.
Upon activation on November 1, 2031 the HyperDoll was rigorously tested and was approved. On December 1, 2031, The HyperDoll was given to the Lunar Base Military Faction.
The HyperDoll functioned flawlessly during its missions, but the Faction refused to allow the "Human" personality to regain control after the missions, and instead kept the HyperDoll in stasis until needed again. One member of the faction, a Dr. Konnichi Kagurazaka, released the personality lockouts on the HyperDoll and released it to the general public in Phoenix, Arizona. There, the HyperDoll was named after her programmer, Tiffany Macintosh, and proceded to live a normal 17-year-old's life.
Nearly six months later, the Faction located Tiff and stripped her of her "Tiffany" personality, causing her to return to the HyperDoll personality where she was kept in tightly guarded stasis until the Lunar Base Faction was indicted for treason when they tried to overtake the US Government. Because the HyperDoll was carefully hidden, she was never found until a year later when the repair crew came to clean the Lunar Base computers, which had corrupted and needed to be replaced. Upon a successful reboot of the main computer, a second, separate system was found in operation in a similarly degraded state. When the stasis room was discovered, they found the HyperDoll in stasis with a 52.5% programming degredation. When they pulled her out of the stasis chamber, they sent her to MacinTech Technologies, Japan Branch where the original programmer, Tiffany Macintosh, who had taken over the MacinTech branch and left her twin sister, Priscilla Macintosh in control of MacinTech USA, Tiffany designed a new personality for the HyperDoll, Rio Kinezono, and released her to the Japanese public to live her life, believing that the HyperDoll shoud be treated equally with the humans.
Rio Kinezono lived among the people undetected until Daitokuji Technologies introduced 5 new prototype HyperDolls. These much less advanced prototypes were less flawless than the original and were designed for everyday work that humans didn't want to touch or was too dangerous for any human to touch. While at school in her computer class, a former member of the Faction broke into the class, while it was in session and held the class as hostages and demanded that the instructor use his computer to access the Daitokuji Mainframe fo information on the new HyperDolls. Rio, who had taken the view that all should be treated equal, could not stand to watch the terrorist as he used the HyperDolls as mere machines and attacked him, resulting in herself being shot twice, but also in blowing her cover as she pulled a gun from the holding compartment in her leg (clue: a la RoboCop) and killing the terrorist with a single shot to the head.
By 2034, HyperDolls were in common use, and added to the effeciency of the 42.7% of the Tokyo population who had been cybernetically augmented in some form or another.
By the beginning of 2035, an entire line of HyperDolls were created inferiorly, with the interest of cutting expenses. These particular models proved to be unreliable and short-circuited, usually killing or severely wounding their owners. These defective units were dubbed "Boomers" because of the explosions that usually followed them. Nearly overnight, a special police force, the Advanced Police (or ADP), was created to deal with these defective HyperDolls. The ADP amassed great power and clamped an iron fist over the city. Then, corrupted city officials and ADP officers declared that anyone with more than 50% augmentation would be treated in the same way as the HyperDolls. The ADP began on what they called "cleansing raids", killing, destroying and dismantling anyone who was a HyperDoll, or had more than 50% cybernetic augmentation. The ADP had tightened its grip on the city and it nearly became a martial law-controlled city, until Tiffany Macintosh, CEO of MacinTech Japan, opened her building as safe haven for any HyperDoll or Augmented person seeking shelter from the ADP. The city government had ADP officers assigned in about every possible sniper location and armed them with HV (high-velocity) ammo and the order to shoot and kill anything "not human" that set foot off of the premesis or flew off the roof.
Taking a cue from the first augmented person in Tokyo, Knight Saber Nuku, Tiffany repeatedly presented her case to the city council and requested that the ADP be disbanded. Finally the city council agreed to take Tiffany's case into consideration. However, upon leaving the Councilroom, a reliable friend of Tiff's warned her that the Council had lied through their teeth and were planning a complete raid of the MacinTech Building. Upon hearing this, Tiffany returned to the MacinTech building and placed Rio Kinezono and her mate, Yuji Moriyama, a 100% augmented boy of 19 years of age, into stasis chambers below the fourth basement of the MacinTech Building, all the while intending to return and release them.
By 2036, the government had Tiffany deported back to the US and MacinTech Japan shrank to a small two floor building in Osaka. The original MacinTech Skyscraper was brought down and left in a pile of rubble. Tiffany returned to Phoenix, Arizona and resumed her position as CEO of the US Headquarters and continued her business.
On May 14, 6000, nearly 4,000 years later, the lot where the MacinTech Japan building once stood was being cleared out and dug up to lay the foundation for a shopping/recreation center. While digging the workers detected an old ancient nuclear power source still in operation and feeding power to a room below the fourth basement. When they went to investigate, they found Rio and Yuji, still in stasis. Amazingly, the stasis chambers were still working, as was the computer console controlling them. Unfortunately, of all of the 30 stasis pods, only two had been sealed and activated--Rio's and Yuji's.
When Rio and Yuji were revived, in a world nearly run by the AI that the humans of 2035 so feared, they left Tokyo and returned to Phoenix and met up with the present MacinTech CEO, Aurora Macintosh, and settled in Phoenix where they live to this day.
Rio and Yuji have four children: Kikuko "Kiko", Brandi, Hiroshi, and Brandon "Branflakes." Both Rio and Yuji work at the MacinTech USA building in High positions directly under the CEO.
Note: Rio Kinezono's American personality "Tiffany Macintosh" degraded to nothing in the hands of her namesake, as did Yuji Moriyama's American personality, "Firenaut Phoenix." However, the two personality subroutines, in their degraded form, are stored in the MacinTech USA prototypes vault.
