I wish everyone could experience Bardstown for a week or two,
it really is how life was meant to be. The people here are friendly and considerate.
And for those of you that live in a town or city similar to the one I blew off in upstate New York where your downtown business district looks like a ghost town you'll be particularly impressed as we have a downtown and you can always find people hanging out there sitting on benches, visiting, or just relaxing.
Bardstown was named one of America's best small towns and
after you've been here a while I'm sure you'll understand why.

Kentucky Railway Museum, located in New Haven, Kentucky. The Museum is about 20 minutes from Bardstown and well worth a visit. The ride on the vintage train from New Haven to Boston will be one of the most relaxing, enjoyable parts of your visit.

Before and after pictures of one of Bardstown's most famous landmarks, Old Talbott Tavern, virtually destroyed by fire. At present THEY ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS, LOOKS GREAT!!! This was one of "Jesse James" favorite haunts when he was laying low from the law out west.
