I am a 24 year old transgender female living in southwestern Pennsylvania. I am a Multimedia major at Itt Technical Institute, graduating in September. I have lived for years in shame of my thoughts and feelings. You see, I thought I was crazy or something to want to be a girl. The shame often seemed like it was going to tear me apart. One night, after a break-up caused by my little secret got out, I finally decided I would become a woman. It still took several years before I was confident enough to come out. Now, I just want to kinow more people like me and help those who are still in pain. |
I would like to discuss the reluctance many people have in accepting transgendered people.
