A picture
of six,
innocent and sweet.
But looking closely,
the faces look odd,
not those of children...
One has eyes
that have a
burdened old look
that is
forever tiresome.
One has downcast eyes
with gulit and grief
hiding behind
the tentative smile.
One gazes too fierce
for the deep, hurt eyes,
and shows no emotion
on the unsmiling face.
One looks up defiantly,
with a fire of rage
in the eyes of ice,
but has an unstable
essence about it.
One has a humorous grin,
that masks the
furrowed brow of pain
and the cool,
calculating eyes.
One has a confused,
yet fascinated face,
like that of a child,
but has an aura
of broken pride and loneliness
cast upon it.
A picture of lost souls.
