How Much Do You $pend? How much have you spent on Animorphs? Well, here's the place to find out.
For the purpose of this, we're going to assume you've boughten every single book (You have, haven't you?) And, just to be all the more accurate, we're going to assume that you've paid 6% sales tax on all this stuff, like I've had to. At the bottom of the page is the math you have to do if your sales tax is different.

Alright, books 1-20, MM1, MM2 and The Andalite Chronicles all cost $3.99 a pop per book. With 6% tax, that's $4.29 per book. $4.29 times 23=$98.67

Books 21-40 have all cost $4.99 without tax, $5.29 with. $5.29 times 19=$100.51

How much have you spent on books so far??? $199.18 But wait, it's not over yet...

MegaMorphs #3 was $5.99 w/o tax,approx $6.36 with.

Hork-Bajir Chronicles, Visser and both Callendars were $12.95 w/o tax, $13.73 with. All together? $54.92

So, what's the grand total as of March, 2000???

$359.13

And that's not including the TV show related merchandise (wich I know many of you have, don't deny it!)

Okay, how did I figure out the sales tax and junk? Elementary, my dear AniFan...
Take the starting price, we'll use $4.99 here. Now, to eliminate an extra step, don't just multiply that number by the sales tax of your state. For example, if your state's sales tax is 5% instead of 6%, multiplying $4.99 by .05 would give you how much you'd have to add on for every dollar. BUT...you can multiply $4.99 by 1.05, and you'll have the entire price all together at once.

Confused??? Join the club. I just learned this nifty little process in Algebra. If you aren't in algebra yet and you can actually grasp this concept, you're a genious. At least compared to me in Math.
