hight=569 width=400> May 27, 2000. KEITH'S VIEW: Our first show with Mark on guitar. Second time opening for Robert Johnson and the Browns. A fair amount of people showed up at the Cactus Club for this show. It went pretty well and Mark was rocking on the guitar, even though I accidently wacked him with the microphone during one of my pseudo-Roger Daltrey mic-rotating routines. Lots of people commented on how much they liked the new line-up. Todd Rittman of Robert Johnson and the Browns (as well as U.S. Maple!) said that we were "20 times better" than the last time we played with them and seemed enthusiastic during our set. Wooh. Robert Johnson and the Browns themselves were pretty damn good. At the end, Mr. Johnson was onstage wearing a helmet and a bunch of guitars. Superballs were distributed amongst the crowd, and he was pelted by audience members, creating an interactive noise drone. Swell idea and one worth ripping off!!!
