Scully heads out on a motorboat to meet Cobra, and right after he hands her the disk CSM's assistant shoots him and then aims for Scully. Before the man is able to eliminate Scully, CSM shoots him. CSM manages to keep the original disk even though Scully thought she had it. It's awfully icy where Mulder is concerned at this point, but hey, that's just too darned bad. But CSM ends up throwing the disk in the water--the disk with the key to completely remove disease from the earth.
