Well, you got enough of my floofy stuff on my Inspriations page, so I figured I'd give everyone what they really want to know. The cold, hard facts about me. (I mean, you must want to know. You're here, right?)
For starts, I'm 29. (or at least I was when this page was created...) I was born in Pomona, CA in 1970 and was raised in Stanton, CA where my parents owned a kennel. So, needless to say, I'm an animal lover.
I went to Cypress College right after I graduated from high school to become an English Teacher for jr. high school students, but decided after 4 years as an English Lit. major, I was far too young to become a teacher. Or at least an effective one, and left college to do random things like work for a few years. Then I went back to Fullerton College to study Anthropology to become an artifact restorer. (there's not really a major for what I wanted, so I had to take the nearest acceptable thing.)
I was told by several curators, archeologists and the likes that the funding for restoration and museaum work had been dropped out. Unless I had some serious connections, I might as well try to find something in my backyard to restore and display in my entry hall.
Slightly disgrunted, I decided that perhaps I should just try to find a career and settle into it. So I did. I was a collector, and a great one at that.
Then, I got married. I must say, this was quite a life changing event. After 7 months of marriage, I was pregnant and had our first son. My husband was away in Japan at the time, and was gone for quite a while longer. When he returned, I became pregnant with our second child, Becca. I don't know where my life would be without them. (But I can imagine alot less tired. ;) ) You can see my family here! Please visit as I'm sure they'd love to meet you!
So, now you find me, a stay-at-home-mommy living in Arizona, who obviously has *far* too much time on her hands to create all these pages of stuff. I try hard to keep myself entertained. Thank goodness I like kid shows and cartoons. :P
And that's about it for the About Me part of this web-site. Everything that you see in this site is a little bit of me. The humorous, the serious and the unusual. I continually add to these pages, as I continually find that you are never too old to learn something new. But I think the biggest thing I've learned is this:
Life never ends up quite the way we plan it. Perhaps this is a good thing... |
