History and Facts History The lineage of the Warrior Unicorns back be traced back a few hundred years. Back then, there was a war going on in the land where the unicorns lived. Humans captured many of the unicorns and began to think of ways to alter them so they would be fit to ride in battle. Many of the unicorns were angry and would strike at anything it could reach, making them perfect subjects to alter. Scientists began replacing the DNA of the unicorn with small chains of dragon DNA. They then crossed the genetically altered unicorns and produced offspring. The adults died soon after because of the unexpected change in their DNA sequence. The offspring of the altered unicorns did bear minor changes in size, making them stockier and larger. A few offspring developed blades on their legs. The unicorns were even more fierce than their parents and were forced to be caged when not being tested or trained. The unicorns were crossed several times for several generations until the perfect mix of unicorn and dragon was achieved. All of the unicorns posessed the equine head, body, and legs with altered tails, wings, or horns. Some of the unicorns had the talent of mind control so most of the unicorns were also modified so they could control the mind of an enemy. Eventually, the unicorns could not be contained any longer. They broke free from their keepers and fled to the forest. The unicorns were still fierce and would attack anything other than unicorns when provoked. Soon, a group of adults managed to find a safe-haven. Here they rested, healed, and eventually settled. Many foals were born but the parents did not survive that long after the foals birth. These foals made their way to the realm they now live in and are cared for by some of the escaped adults from the period the unicorns call "The Great Splice." The Great Splice refers to the time when the unicorns DNA was modified with dragon DNA. Facts Warrior Unicorns prefer meadows or lightly forested areas to live in with a water source near by. They CANNOT live with anything that is not equine otherwise they might attack it and they certainly can not live with a meat-eating animal. Oh and, not all Warrior Unicorns are mean and violent. Only the ones with more dragon traits will be a little more tense and prone to attack. Warrior Unicorns eat plants, some bark, and fruit. I would not advise giving meat to a Warrior Unicorn unless they show the fang trait because they will have the teeth and digestive system to handle meat. Warrior Unicorns prefer some company if they live in a large place. Other Warrior Unicorns are fine. Back |
