The first time I read this book was in third grade. My brother was reading it for his sixth grade Language Arts class, and back then I did everything my brother did. Some things turn out better than others. I have since read The Hobbit about eleven times, earning the nickname Hobbit Girl. The story takes you on a journey with a hobbit named Bilbo, thirteen dwarves, and a the wizard Gandalf. The whole book is filled with Tolkien's lush descriptions of the settings and the characters. Masterful writing combined with a story that never gets old. If you haven't read it, read it. If you've read it, read it again.
